It’s just okay. First off the prices you see here are way out of date. My bacon cheeseburger combo was $18.50 which is insanely overpriced not only for the area but especially for the quality that you get. They’re charging Five Guys prices for Jack in the Box quality (when there’s already a Jack in the Box a block over). Despite the restaurant’s namesake, the burgers aren’t really giant or even much larger than the competition. Instead you get just a mid burger, dry bun, thin patty, and pretty meh fries. Nothing to write home about. For $8 it would be a decent burger, but for almost $19 it’s an absolute insult.

I used to really enjoy coming here, especially when the young lady with red hair was working. She was always so kind and welcoming, and you could tell she cared about the food and the customers. Every time she made my meal, it came out perfect, and she made me feel comfortable being there.
Lately, I haven’t seen her around. The other staff just don’t have the same care or attention, and the food and service aren’t quite the same. Because of that, I don’t go as often anymore. Honestly, if I saw her working again, I’d definitely come back more because she really made the experience special.

My son and I was downtown at the library when we set out on where to go for dinner. So found this little spot down the street. I ordered the California burger which was 8/10 with garlic onion rings which was an 8/10 as well. My son got the bacon cheeseburger and he rated it 6.5, but loved the garlic fries which he rated 9.5. He’s been adventuring outside his basic foods and so this was a nice change. Definitely was a cool little spot. This is how I remember a&w use to be when I was a kid.

I love their garlic onion rings!!! My favorite thing and what makes me pick them over others is when I want a burger that’s not a fast food burger.
Their burgers are really good too. Never have gotten disappointed by them yet! The service is really friendly and nice. The atmosphere and decor are very cute! An old-fashioned burger joint/diner feel I’d say.

Hot. Fresh. Delicious! Old school burger and chili cheese fries hit the spot! You can easily see the clean well maintained kitchen. Even witnessed the cook wash her hands; not something you typically see in Modesto…
We will be back!

Oh so delicious!! The flavors are amazing! This is our second time visiting here. The service is really good as well as the food. We were greeted by their friendly staff as we entered. I highly recommend eating here. The atmosphere is nice and clean. They are conscientious about keeping the restaurant supplied with wipes and hand sanitizer. My wife had the BLT combination. They are very generous with the bacon. I had a double bacon cheeseburger combination.

My burger (bacon jalapeno Swiss) was very neutral with no strong flavor presence. Greens were older or just warm, either case less pleasant. I was surprised to find crinkle cuts in the garlic fries, just something I should have verified. Fries were done like crinkles so not my favorite, but I was able to finish them. My wife’s burger (bacon blue cheese) was amazing!

Came after I heard they opened, menu had great options and food came out in a timely manner. Servers were friendly and helpful, manager/owner was also there and is nice as well. Music was pleasant, food was delicious, and overall the experience was worth the price.

20.00 burger is really big. I got the double jalapeno Swiss burger with fries and a coke. The fries were ok not the greatest. Customer service was ok. Nothing stood out to me. My burger bun was soggy by the time I got to my hotel which was less than 5 minutes away. Maybe use a thicker bun? There was plenty parking although a bit crowded for a parkinglot. There was a lot of homeless around too.
