We were absolutely blown away by Blackberry River Bistro — both the food and the service. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and it was so clear that it’s all made from scratch. We actually stumbled upon this place by chance while staying at a B&B in Great Barrington, and we’re so grateful we did.
The wings were unreal — perfectly crispy, meaty, and coated in just the right amount of sauce, homemade bleu cheese dressing! And if you’re questioning whether to get dessert… absolutely do it here. Worth every bite.
I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. Do yourself a favor and go — you won’t regret it.

What a wild ride this food was. The take on all cuisine is unique and tasty. First the green pepper maple wings were out of control delicious. Perfect amount of spice, savory and sweet. Top 3 favorite wing flavors of all time. Next was the main course dishes. The pasta was a little bland, but the sauce and internal filling was VERY good. The sandwich was pretty good, but the star was the wings. I’ll definitely be back for round 2 of those wings!

We visited the area for the first time and saw the Blackberry River Bistro was well recommended. We had no idea what a surprise we were in for. The restaurant is small, but we found a place to sit right away. The menu had something for everyone. We ordered a Kale Caesar Salad while was outstanding. Packed with flavor and plated beautifully. Next the Pork and Veggie Dumplings. They tasted fresh, the dipping sauce was light and delicious. Finally, we had a delicious gnocchi and a burrito, both great. The gentleman who served us (owner?) was professional and polite, moving fluidly from one table to the next to make sure they had what they needed. VERY WELL DONE! Thank you!

First time in a few weeks ago. It was very nice and clean inside. Nice portioning, plating was very clean. Flavor was awesome. First time trying the Maple green chilli wings and was pleasantly surprised! They are a must . For our entree we had the special pasta of the week it was cavatelli with pesto and a creamy tomato sauce. I was unsure about pesto and tomato sauce together but flavors worked very nicely together and I really enjoyed that dish. However our top star of the night was the chocolate mousse. We will definitely be back again… especially if they are still serving the chocolate mousse! ✌

We got there and it was packed on a Saturday night at 6:30. After we were seated, our meal took awhile. For example, our wings didn’t come out for 45 minutes. It was also disheartening to see our mains come out at the same time as the table that was seated 30 minutes after us. The food was disappointing. The pad thai noodles were mushy. The scallops had a poor sear and the orzo sauce left much to be desired. Likely the team was short staffed tonight, which is a perhaps why we left disappointed, especially after our long wait.

We just discovered Blackberry River Cafe after purchasing a home in the area this July and it has become one of our favorite to go to places. The food is very fresh and delicious. We love that it is family owned and that when you order out, they use biodegradable packaging. We highly recommend this place!!
