3.5 stars rounded up. The food was okay, service was nice, venue quite empty, and location conveniently located a few minutes from Colma BART (which is largely why I picked it). A friend and I came by on a Wednesday evening to an empty dining room. The server was attentive and gave us lots of time and space to chat and catch up. We ordered:
– Vegetarian samosas, two for $7: good, came with two dipping sauces
– Paneer tikka masala, $16: a bit too sweet for me
– Bengan bartha, $15: I’ve only ordered this dish once or twice before so am not a good judge, but I wasn’t a big fan of the dish
– Garlic naan x2 ($4 each): these were thin and not that fluffy, which was a bummer
Not bad, and the venue is spacious (though empty), but I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

What a hidden gem! We came here just looking for a local place for Indian food and thought, why not?
We ordered the garlic and plain Naan which were both delicious. Everything was great tasting and good sized portions: lamb vindaloo, chicken tikki masala, palak paneer, and the combo (chicken and lamb) kebab plate which came with a salad and rice.
I’d definitely come back again to try more dishes.

We are very glad to stop by Moguls.
It is one of the cleanest restaurants I have tried in this category.
The service was very nice and very friendly staff.
For the food, oh boy! Amazing! We got the Assorted appetizer, which was beautifully presented and prepared.
The lamb chops is not like any typical chops you would get, it had a hint of Indian/Pakistani spices which made it a unique taste.
We also got the Lamb Biryani. It was perfectly spice balanced. Not too spicy and not bland at all.
We also got Tandori half chicken, very tender and well cooked!
We were only 2 people and we almost finished all the plates because of how good the food was
This will be number 1 place for Indian and Pakistani food.

Food was amazing ! Best chicken I have had by far from any restaurant ! Service was absolutely fantastic checked on us and refilled our water 8 times was never thirsty! The ambiance the lighting the music it is just how I want to do mine in the future! The hookah was incredible best in the bay ! Will be back !

What happened? We have been ordering dinner regularly and have been very happy. Tonight we ordered and every single entree literally came up short or burned. 5 tiny bites of meat. Burnt black naan with the center cut out. Some containers not even full. They were so bad, small, puny, etc that I took pictures of it. This was not even funny. Furious! You guys really dropped the ball tonight. If I were dining in I would have sent these items back.
