Featuring relaxed mountain-town charm and one of Asheville’s most captivating restaurant views, Soprana continues to rise—recently recognized with a Michelin Bib Gourmand. The kitchen turns out food that’s refined in technique yet warmly familiar in spirit. Local sourcing is fundamental, including mushrooms from Black Trumpet Farms that deepen the flavors of the toothsome Garden Variety pizza.

The affogato is elevated by a stroopwafel and a rich layer of salted caramel.

Service is attentive, friendly, and effortlessly competent, rounding out an experience that balances sophistication with ease.

Great food! We did not have a reservation but they got us in relatively quickly. Got pizza, a dip and a salad, all of it tasted good ( Didn’t manage to get a pic of the pizza though). Great service and reasonably priced for the level of this restaurant. One thing I would mention is that if possible, you should go here during sunset. The views are gorgeous, but obviously you can’t see that at night!

The pizza was absolutely amazing! The Tartufo mushroom pizza was absolutely delicious and my favorite. Well deserved Michelin nod as one of the best restaurants in Asheville.

Drinks and Italian food & pizza are enjoyable along with the incredible West facing views of the mountains.

A must if you’re coming to visit Asheville.

First time here, and the views are absolutely breathtaking! I highly recommend visiting between 4:00 and 5:30 PM to catch the sunset—it’s the perfect backdrop for photos.
The service was quick and attentive. We ordered the wings and the chicken pesto pizza. Unfortunately, the wings were overly salty and we had to send them back; I’d suggest the kitchen dial back the seasoning there. However, the pizza was the star of the show—incredibly flavorful, savory, and easily some of the best slices I’ve had.
Overall, it’s a 7/10 for the food hiccup, but a 10/10 for the vibes. A total “sleeper spot” for sunset lovers!

The gluten free crust here is legit better than anywhere else I can find. It’s chewy, does not taste like cardboard! It actually tastes like pizza! I have been gluten free for years and this is the ONLY PLACE that makes pizza this good. This place is so amazing we drove 4 hours for it and got it to go on our way to the mountains for Christmas.

Who knew a hotel restaurant could feel this warm and welcoming?

Located on the rooftop of the Embassy Suites, Soprana offers spectacular views of Asheville that set the stage for a memorable meal.

The food is outstanding. Beautifully prepared, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The Panzanella Salad was an unexpected surprise; the flavors are difficult to describe, but trust me—it’s a must-try. Their pizzas are absolutely delicious, and the Kale Salad is excellent as well.

Service is equally impressive. Our server, Nicole, was an absolute joy—friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our experience special. She even managed to get us an espresso, though it wasn’t normally on the menu, which really went above and beyond.

Whether you’re staying at the hotel or just looking for a great rooftop dining experience in Asheville, I highly recommend giving Soprana a try. We loved it and will definitely be back!

The restaurant was difficult to find. It’s on the 7th floor of Embassy Suites. We ordered two pizzas. The sauce had great flavor. However, the mushrooms on one pizza were charred and unpleasant. Additionally, the bottom of the pizzas were covered in burnt shavings from the oven. Clearly, the oven should be cleaned more frequently as it gave the crusts a bitter taste.

Absolutely STUNNING decor and rooftop view. There are bench tables, classic tables, and lounge areas for you to enjoy. The florals and umbrellas outside are such a nice addition, and the inside decor is just gorgeous. The service was wonderful and so were the staffs’ recommendations. The music was also a wonderful addition. Somewhat limited but delicious food menu, but my pizza was pretty charred (only reason for my star deduction). Bathrooms were pretty and clean.

Great place for Italian food and incredible views.

Atmosphere:
The place is in a hotel. Upon entering, there are clear signs indicating where to go, which is appreciated.
The place is very nice, just like the photos shared by other people. I loved the aesthetics of the place, along with the rooftop, which looks very nice.

Note: I recommend making a reservation, since we had to eat at the bar because they “didn’t have any tables,” but there were several available the entire time we were there.

The views are very pretty, but to really enjoy them, you have to be outside, and depending on the weather, you may or may not be able to enjoy them, in my opinion.

Service:
The hostesses weren’t very friendly and somewhat apathetic. They sent us outside even though it was very hot (this was due to the lack of a reservation). We later asked if we could sit at the bar, and they said yes and made the change.

In this sense, everything changed. The bartenders were very friendly, the food was on time, the drinks were incredible—there’s nothing bad to say.

Food and Drinks:
We loved everything we ordered. We were a group of four, and we all ordered a different drink, a different pizza, and different salads. Everything was incredibly good. We would definitely return to this place.

I brought a large group to try Soprana while on a bachelorette trip, we had trouble parking and were late (you can park free for three hours with valet at the hotel don’t be like me and try public parking lol). The staff was SO nice while planning and when we called about being a little behind schedule, we had a private room and table and were able to sit outside by the fire while the sun went down before we ate. Once seated service took a while to get started but we just enjoyed our time and the beautiful sunset views. Try the fig and prosciutto pizza!
