The food was delicious and the service was very prompt and pleasant. The restaurant is a small quaint place. It was clean and quiet as I was the only one there. As I was leaving, more customers started to come in.
I had the spring rolls and drunken noodles. The spring rolls were BIG! I have never seen spring rolls that large. They were very filling and came out piping hot. The drunken noodles was a decent size…I liked them so I wanted more! Both plates were filling and I highly recommend this little spot.

The owner Chen come to greet us at our table Saturday. He was very polite and interested in how we’d enjoyed the service and food. I told him the food was delicious and the service impeccable. I had a chicken curry dish and my mom had the most beautifully cooked ribeye steak. Can not wait to return. This is truly a Hattiesburg gem!

My friend group and I picked this spot for dinner tonight since we aren’t from the area and it was absolutely the best choice. We ordered the spring rolls for an appetizer and they were gone before I could get a picture, same for my small Tom Kha Gai soup with shrimp. I ordered the Pad Thai combination plate and it was some of the best I’ve had in the state. There weren’t many people dining in while we ate but the take-out orders never stopped. Also love the vibe inside the restaurant and how kind and attentive thr staff was. If I’m ever in the area, this will have to be my stop for Thai food!

Absolutely delicious!! We ordered the dumplings for the table. Panang curry with pork, drunken noodles with shrimp & pork and lamb. 10/10 must try!

Consistently delicious! I had a Christmas Eve lunch there and the meal was so great! Salmon green curry always a hit! The spring rolls are just delicious also. Jutamas has been our go-to restaurant for years and we prefer the downtown location — much more comfortable. The atmosphere is great because you can actually have a conversation — the noise level is low. The service people are top-notch and the owner, if you get a chance to visit with him, is delightful. I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant and my frequent experiences there. Just an add-on after reading some other reviews, I have to counter — the portion sizes are great! If you don’t get enough to eat here, then you are not a healthy person. One reviewer fussed about the lack of alcohol choices. It’s true that you cannot get a mixed drink here but they usually have a good selection of wines and beer. And also, if you want a fancy bathroom and mixed drinks, go to any of the numerous chain restaurants around. But if you want authentic Thai food beautifully presented, this is the place.

I love this place! I always stop in and get an order of Masaman Curry to-go since I live about 45 minutes away! The staff are super friendly and they make it a fun visit! If you enjoy Thai food, this can be your new go-to restaurant! Give it a try! You’ll love it!!!

Fantastic experience. We stopped in Hattisburg on our way from Texas to Florida and stumbled into this ridiculously good Thai place. I had a decadent vegan Pad Thai that was unusually rich, probably the best Pad Thai I’ve ever eaten. My omnivore husband had an equally lovely meal. The service was spot on, friendly and charming. We will make a point of stopping by anytime we are in Hattisburg.

I wrote a review 7 years ago about the excellent food my husband and I got at the HWY 98 Jumatas. Well it’s nothing like it was then. The restaurant still looks nice, same nice people but boy oh boy was the food such a disappointment. We wanted the Redfish meal and the Char broiled Chicken. The waiter then came out to tell us that the manager was not there and he had the keys to the cooler. Instead I ordered the Phad Thai. It was so very dry. I ordered it with shrimp and chicken. But they only put three shrimp and the chicken was as rough as shoe leather. My husband then decided in the softshell crab. He said it was good but the veggies were dry. I guess they were running short on Jumatas sauce. We were both very disappointed. When and if we ever decide to eat at Jumatas again we will go to old town to do so. But I imagine my husband will not be going back.

Attended my best friend’s daughter 16th birthday dinner here. Very dark and dimly lit small restaurant with a intimate atmosphere. Food was delicious but I am sad that there wasn’t a large alcohol selection only beer and wine. We had a party of 9 and they accommodated us just fine. There bathroom is one room and says a sign that says man/lady.
