Hate to give my first 1 ever, but this was a very over hyped place in the reviews. The brownie on the hot fudge sundae was disappointing. The service ignored us completely. We also realized the employee working served the college aged guys before us. Honestly, I have given food reviews before. Also our hot fudge cake sundae were slopped with a ton of whipped cream and the brownie was overcooked and small under the mountain of whip cream. Also each of our Sundaes were supposrd to have a lot of hot fudge and there was like just a small drizzle. I know the locals probably won’t like the truth, but it SUCKS. Make sure you go somewhere else so you aren’t disappointed and you also have to pay for parking with quarters NOT WORTH IT at all

Yummy ice cream and cool flavors. Portion size was on point. Not a big selection of different types of cones but the sugar cone was still good. It’s a diner too, it was very smoky inside like something (food) burnt but the ice cream was great we just ate it outside.

Went there first time tonight with my daughter and son in law I got a chili cheese hot dog couldn’t taste the chili the cheese was a piece. Of sandwich cheese only thing that was good was the ice cream too high price for what you get you don’t get chips with your sandwich you have to buy a bag to go with your sandwich

My wife and I visited this lil charming piece of nostalgia on a trip when we were celebrating the 40th anniversary of our 1st date. The Sat. afternoon in Feb was kinda chilly but many patrons were enjoying the goods here. They offered sandwiches and chips and so many deserts that it was so hard to choose. The place was full the whole time we were there and a few people chose takeout to get their delight. There were couples waiting for a table when we departed and the crew was working relentlessly to satisfy the desires of the customers. A very neat ice cream and more facility!

Trowbridge’s is a cute ice cream parlor and sandwich shop that’s been in business for over 100+ years. They keep it simple with sandwiches that taste like your grandma made them and the shake’s are top notch. I loved the chicken salad sandwich and Smokey mountain Fudge Shake!

It was blazing hot today with temps close to 100 so what better place to go but to Trowbridge’s? I had a chicken salad sandwich toasted on white bread. For dessert, a Banana Split. This place is very unique and is reminiscent of a much simpler time. I highly recommend this, especially in the sweltering dog days of an Alabama summer.
