TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The only Dave’s chicken I go to! I come here all the time to get work done (I’m a screenwriter). Natalie was amazing! The whole staff is super cool. The first time I came I asked for a sample since I had never been here before and they gave me one for free. The only negative is that I’m getting fatter by coming here lol

Always looking for a new place close to work for lunch. First time visiting and ordering from the Highlands Ranch location and it did not disappoint! Very impressed by the size of the two slider meal. Our order was ready when we arrived and was hot,fresh and delicious! We will definitely be ordering from this location again! We arrived around 11am to a brightly lit, clean restaurant. The friendly cashier asked if it was our first time. We told them yes, but we were ready to order.
The two tenders with fries were hot and delicious. We tried the mild and medium – their heat scale was spot on.
The chicken tenders were juicy and delicious. Just make sure to grab a few extra napkins if you like to use your hands to eat.

Jason took my order and was awkwardly micromanaging his team. His name also didn’t match my receipt that said Wylie E (Coyote?) really? I couldn’t tell if he was being inspected/evaluated or his team was, but everyone was acting very unnatural…
I kept coming back due to their amazing military discount and how they treated their military customers. I’m very grateful for any discount a business chooses to offer military, police, teachers, first responders, etc. The discount is never expected nor required for patronage, but… i if you do offer a discount, respectfully request it be consistent/predictable.
Today, Jason changed their military discount to less than half (10%) of what it used to be (25%) and was acting very weird (like making sure I knew his, and others names, yet I don’t recall anyone wearing name tags) and was just trying too hard to provide customer service to the point it was off-putting.
Bottom line, this place appears to run way better for customers on a random week night without apparent management breathing down their necks. This particular Saturday afternoon with “lots of support” was not a “make’s me want to come back” experience.
There are a lot of places to get a chicken sandwich in town. I keep going back to the Chick-fil-a in Highlands Ranch where the military discount and customer service is predictable… Sorry Dave’s…

Beware GrubHub and ordering any delivery. Food is decent and I love it for a hot chicken fix, but any delivery service will make sure it arrives cold and inedible/dangerous. Only way to enjoy is in person or takeout. Otherwise, get ready for disappointment.

Came here for the first time I definitely underestimated the spice level! However everything was delicious and the service was amazing! Fries were crispy and the chicken was HOT. Jason stopped by our table as we were eating and was very nice. Will be returning for sure.

This location is by far the worst location I’ve been to. Heather was rude and treated us as if we were children. I don’t know if she thought she was being funny or what her issue was but telling customers in a smart tone “chicken” while we’re trying to figure out what exactly we want is unprofessional. I can read a menu and don’t need her telling me and my fiance what’s on the menu. It seems other people have had issues with heather and the fact she’s still there says they don’t really value the reviews coming in. She was beyond rude to us. My fiance wanted forks when he went to grab them she pulled the forks back from him told him that he only asked for 2, mind you she was the one handing them to us so she grabbed 3 and got mad at us when we were taking what was handed to us. The dining room was gross, dirty tables, napkins and trash around the dining room and not to mention the pickles stuck to the floor. The chicken was great but everyone’s fries were cold and unseasoned, which is big reason why I go to Dave’s is because the fries are usually good but this location doesn’t really care about any of that. I’m usually not the one to write negative reviews but this location is terrible.

Great hot chicken with plenty of spice options. Service this time around sucked. It took 26 minutes from the time I placed my order until it was ready to go. Ordered to go and they had it for dine in. Quality is good but the service sucked this time around.
