Table of 4 – We ordered an order of onion rings as an appetizer to share which was served promptly but all on one paper plate. That was the only food item that was served quickly and hot. After a long wait, the rest of our meal was finally served
Two of us had pulled pork sandwich with fries and sweet potato fries. Sweet potato fries were very nearly burned but at the same time, just a tad above room temperature. All of our food had been forgotten I guess as everyone’s order was on the verge of cold. The pulled pork sandwich was dry and wasn’t salvageable even after I drenched it with barbecue sauce, To me the meat tasted like it came straight out of a plastic bag and was reheated then left on a warmer too long. VERY dry. Parts of the meat (probably half?) was super dry to the point of being hard strings. Chicken quesadillas were likewise lukewarm. Hamburger was cooked properly (medium) but was also just lukewarm.
This is my first and last time there, unfortunately.
I will say the staff was very friendly and courteous, it’s a shame the food was not up to par.

I’ve been here a few times in the past couple months. the food is really good and the staff is always super friendly and helpful. We’ve had the smoked steak and cheese which is super yummy also have had the brisket quesadilla and definitely will be back for one more before they close till the spring. my husband loves the smoked teriyaki chicken wings and then I’ve had salad with brisket there before and that’s good as well. I love that they have some unique things you can’t find anywhere else with the Smoked Meats, where most smoked food places just have like meats and sides, here you can get a smoked meat burrito (i haven’t tried that one yet but that’s the next thing I want to try) the smoked quesadilla the smoked steak and cheese and the smoked wings which they have daily other places that I’ve been to don’t have them all the time). They are unique and yummy, highly recommended to try. Also the brisket wasn’t fatty, I do not like fatty brisket so that was impressive to me. Great place to meet up and have a meal with some friends or for takeout. My mom is also very particular about her food and she was impressed with the brisket quesadilla it was cooked nice and crispy and side was a perfect blend of meat and cheese nice and moist, prices are reasonable as well

We had an awesome experience here. My husband and I shared a meal and said just cut the grinder in half but they also served it to us with two plates with fries. That was above and beyond our expectations. The fat boy grinder was delicious and the fried mushrooms my favorite. The $3 with a meal deal strawberry shakes were great and I liked the big straws since they were thick and easier to drink than with a thin straw. We would definitely go here again! Even though we shared the meal we still had to take a little bit home. I do agree it was a bit dry but add the multiple sauce choices and you are good to go. As a suggestion a garlic olive oil sauce would make for a nice spritz to wet down the meat offered with other sauce choices.

Visited this BBQ place since I was just driving by. Walked in and ordered at the counter then chose to sit outside at the picnic tables. It was outside with a cornhole game, lots of tables, and a nice grassy area. I ordered the pulled pork plate with Mac and cheese. My significant other order the two meat plate with smoked chicken and brisket along with onion rings. To be completely honest, the meat was all dry. It wasn’t too bad with the BBQ sauce. The cornbread that came with it was also pretty dry. The Mac and cheese was good and the onion rings were average. The two meat plate also came with a piece of garlic bread which was also average. The smoked chicken came on the bone which was unexpected and was more pink than I would have liked. Overall the atmosphere was good. Service wise, we were prompted to tip when we ordered so we did but aside from brining us a bag of our food in a to-go brown bag (after we said we were eating there), they did not do anything else that a normal waiter making tips does (did not take our order at the table, bring or refill drinks, or bus the table). There was ice cream sold there too (no soft serve) but the portions are huge for the price so no room for desert anyways. $15 for the pulled pork plate with cornbread and choice of side and $25 for the two meat combo with one side. Definitely got my moneys worth, just wish it wasn’t so dry.

Very disappointed in customer service today. We ordered 2 lbs of beef brisket takeout. We were given pulled pork labeled as brisket. Called and spoke with manager who told me there was no way it was wrong bc he had filled the order himself. He suggested we could drive back there with it. I offered to send a pic, which he declined to do. We were previously big fans and recommended to others, but are now leaning away from dining ordering from here again.

Okay so I literally just finished eating and I couldn’t wait to post how delicious this food was! My family was eating off each plates, everyone is in a food coma
The burger was fresh off the grill, Cajun fries were fresh, the hotdog w/ coleslaw got me excited for Memorial Day, and the brisket with Mac-n-cheese was killer. My boy friend had to block his plate
This place is a must and now apart of weekly rotation. The staff was very friendly.

The meal was disappointing to say the least. As someone who grew up fairly “southern”, this place should be ashamed to use the word.
We ordered the loaded Mac, and a three meat plate with two sides.
Chicken looks like it was boiled first, then grilled with an “essence” of smoke. Extremely dry and inedible.
The baked beans taste like they come from a can, and definitely were not cooked enough. Scalding hot, and still tough.
The brisket is probably the worst I have ever had. Unless it is SLATHERED in sauce, it’s so dry. Lacking almost any flavor at all. I’m sure canned brisket would be better.
The pulled pork was also extremely dry and inedible without sauce. Thank goodness it was served on the Mac and cheese, which was good by itself.
One of the smoked sausages was good, while the other one was dry in the middle.
Cornbread was quite dry without adding a fair amount of butter.
Cajun fries were yummy, but you don’t go to a barbeque place for fries.
Everything was served on paper plates with plastic utensils. They won’t give you a glass of water, or a fountain drink. Everything is in a bottle.
For $69.95, I expected much better food. I’m leaving with a half full plate and an upset stomach.
Do yourself a favor and go to Market Basket for a better BBQ experience.

The Smoke Shack has an extensive menu for either Take-Out or casual Dining-In. We dined in and enjoyed their down-home Southern BBQ and hospitality. We learned about the restaurant’s 20 year history and their special BBQ sauces from restaurant manager, Zach, whose pleasant enthusiasm made us feel right at home!
The Smoked BBQ Sausage plate with two sides; Baked Beans and Sweet Potato Fries was very good. Corn Bread was also included with the meal. —Also LOVED the Mushroom, Swiss Burger with Smoked Bacon and Fries. Perfectly delicious and… Compliments to the Chef!
So, for great food with a Southern flare and a friendly casual dining experience, the Smoke Shack is definitely worth a visit or two, or three, or….!
Most of the prices were reasonable and well worth it!
Note: Ice Cream specialties are also available at their outside order window.

We had our son’s wedding at The Churchill Barn in Maine catered by these wonderful people. Tammy and Josh were a pleasure to work with. The staff were very professional and the food was excellent. Pork sliders, stuffed mushrooms, chicken skewers, prime rib, chicken cordon bleu and scallops and more.
