The girl in front was great. She was friendly and accommodating. The problem was in the kitchen. They do not seem to care about how they cut the veggies. The tomato was ridiculously thin, the onion was thick, unevenly cut and the burger was put together super sloppy and without care.
The fish sandwich was fine except the ridiculous amount of lettuce. The fried zucchini was under cooked and the fries were not hot. The dining room was empty but they seemed to be doing pretty steady drive thru.

Manager has shitty attitude!! Got mad cause he didn’t confirm the order before trying to charge me and when I asked for him to repeat my order he threw the card reader because he had our order wrong.

Hard to know because the woman at the counter couldn’t be bothered to even say hello, or nod, or anything to acknowledge my existence.
A group of young people were hanging out waiting for their orders.
The only things I learned was that sauce costs extra and that bathrooms are for customers only.
I never got to be a customer and think that I both entered and exited unnoticed.
The gas station nextdoor didn’t look much better and was selling hard liquor at 8am. All they had for food didn’t even qualify as fast food. Prepackaged junk.
The market down by the freeway exit is an old standby, albeit expensive, but driving up to the corner was a mistake. Maybe the whole exit is a mistake.

The teriyaki burger was a little lacking in flavor and the fries were kind of average. That being said, the food was definitely fresh and pineapple on a burger was a nice twist. The location is pretty clean, as is the graffitied bathroom, but it’s okay. It’s a good place for a quick stop.

For as expensive as they are , bare minimum the food should be fresh and worth the price. I used to work here at this location for years so I KNOW that they leave fries to get stale and then they refry them so they don’t waste. I assumed now that they’re under new management they no longer did that, but I was wrong. I’m pregnant and very serious about my snacks lol. I got hard criss cuts that are burnt and flavorless so I know they gave me old fries. I got a big burger and they put the tiniest dollop of guac on it and the bacon was rubbery. It’s crazy how expensive they are and how Mid the food is now. If you go here you need to be a Karen and ask for everything to be fresh, and inspect the food right away. My mistake was not checking until I got home. It has the potential to be delicious but they’re too cheap and cut too many corners. Service was great though , but the cooks need to be retrained and management needs to change.

Very unique location, off the freeway, but when I was visiting en route to Lake Tahoe, inside was really clean, wasn’t too many customers ahead of us so service was decent plus we weren’t really in much of a rush. Food wise, the hash rounds were nice and crispy whilst 2 out of my 3 tenders were tasty too. The last one was a little rubbery but with fast food that’s got to be expected in my opinion. Oreo shake is nice (even had little Oreo crumble pieces in there. Only I got food, whereas the rest of us only got a drink and they still were able to access the restrooms. Would I constantly visit there? Honestly, no. However, that’s the same for any fast food restaurant. Would I go there if we passed it along the way to grab a bite to eat? 100% yes, it’s nowhere near as bad as some of these reviews make it out to be.
And dare I say it, I got a gut feeling Carl Jr’s may be back to it’s best in the near future.

Nice staff, i glad i stoped here, was quite better experience at this Carl’s Jr than other. Very nice location, next to freeway.

It’s not really that bad since the Staff is nice but they seem to be perpetually “out” of non-fried chicken and they frequently sub the famous star patty in when I order the thick burger later at night. Wouldn’t be a problem if the patties are the same size but they aren’t.
Update 10/16/24: upgrading to four stars. Food is always good and the staff is nice.
