Absolutely worth stopping by if you want some great pizza and you’re in Bethel. I was in the area for work related reasons, and I can tell I picked the right spot to visit. They have a variety of styles they serve, but I chose two NY style pepperoni slices. I was very impressed with what I was given. I’d love to try their other pizza styles or grinders next time I stop by. I think I met the owner, he was cleaning the outside part of his business, which apparently has an order window when the weather is nicer. He was wiping off the shelf on the outside. I can tell he takes great pride in his business. Very nice guy. I really like how the inside was set up too. Very easy to read menu, both on his takeaway menus and set up in shop on the monitors. I appreciated his godfather artwork too that said, “I’m gonna make you a pizza you can’t refuse.” Very cool, great esthetic. They are working on a very nice patio too which I hope the people in bethel enjoy, because it’s in a very nice part of town, the downtown area.

Famous Pizza is the treasure of our small town, and not just for the food. Perry, Tony, Brian, Chico and the whole crew truly care about us, and they’re very involved in our community in so many ways. It’s a family business, not a franchise. One shop in the heart of our downtown.
Famous easily accommodates modified and special orders online and in the shop. And there’s a style of pizza for everyone: NY, Sicilian, Detroit, gluten-free, vegan, heart-shaped, and my personal favorite — Tavern!
I love the Tavern with light pizza sauce, hot oil, hot cherry peppers, jalapeño, roasted red peppers, extra basil, fresh mozz.
Some of my other favorites:
• NY Sophia with tons of extra basil and fresh mozz
• Metro chicken salad (minus chicken)
• Margherita chicken grinder (minus chicken, minus lettuce), add roasted red peppers, with tons of extra basil
• Side of fresh broccoli and garlic in oil — it’s a generous portion that can be added to several meals
Lots of other favorites too, but I could go on forever — just go to Famous Pizza in downtown Bethel CT and you’ll see!

Definitely visiting again to try the hot oil Pizza
Update: I revisited. It was worth it. I was in a hurry to bite, ended up burning my mouth

Absolutely *chef kiss* delicious pizza. The Sicilian was one of the best I’ve ever tried. It was so light, and the crust was perfection. The chicken taco slice was equally as tasty with a unique flavor! We will be back soon!

Ever since the first time coming to famous Pizza, I’ve been hooked
There are very few pizza places spanning from Connecticut to California that I don’t take issue with.
It is rare to find a pizza place where you don’t have to add condiments to your pizza play red pepper flakes and parmesan cheese
Famous Pizza is one of those few places
I’ve never experienced burnt pizza or undercooked Pizza. Each visit is as good or better than the previous each time we go
I love how friendly the staff are and I love the consistency in quality. All of which doesn’t go unnoticed

The staff is phenomenal!! Always so helpful and kind. Delivery has always been on time and pickup is super quick. They’ve saved us many times where cooking just wasn’t in the cards. Our kids love the Tavern Style Pizza and the salads are always delicious. We couldn’t be happier to support this local, family-run establishment!!

Great food, great atmosphere, and most importantly, great people – Famous Pizza has it all. We’ve been frequenting this establishment since we moved to Bethel over a decade ago, and their pies have always hit the spot – the Famous Special is a dietary staple in my house. Perry and the entire staff are always so inviting, helpful, and understanding of dietary restrictions due to a food allergy in our family. Ownership is involved with and gives back to the community in a variety of ways.
