We drove by the place and had to stop because it was so intriguing! Stunning architecture drew me in, but the food was fabulous, too! It was a win in every direction. The extreme brilliance that created this masterpiece will be enjoyed for years. One look at the lucious looking peanut butter pie is calling me to return…..and I will! Generous tasty portions at great prices, just my style. Portions can be shared, to save room for pie.

Having been a customer of Spear Ridge Cafe in Independence, KY about a dozen times now, I can safely and confidently say they exceed nearly every restaurant in the area, and they are consistent every single time.
The food tastes very fresh, comes out hot and very quickly, even when they are busy. The place is exceedingly clean, and the staff is very professional and well trained. Every menu item I have had, or my friend’s have tried, has been excellent, honestly. They have a great variety too.
If you need a sandwich in five minutes that is fairly priced, delicious , and piping hot, go to Spear Ridge. The cafe is pleasant, if you have time to dine in, filled with historical items from the town’s past, with local heroes and photos well represented.
As restaurant’s go, this one is a winner. And it is gaining a well deserved reputation in the community and beyond. We bring whole construction crews in for lunch weekly. For good reason…
What may surprise you most, outside the outdoor seating, clean tables, and just simply good menu offerings, is that it is located in a corner gas station complex, situated right in the middle of a growing development, poised to inject new life into Old Town Independence, KY.
Come and see what you have been missing. You won’t regret it. The CowBoy Killer is the best burger in the county.

1st time but wasn’t expecting much since it’s One Holland Group. We sat down at a booth that had food on the seat. No one approached us but we finally figured out you had to go to the counter to order, get your own drink and then they bring the food out. I had a club sandwich which was OK but onion rings were definitely frozen. Husband had a cheeseburger and fries. He liked the fries but burger was small and dry. Could have paid a dollar more at Longhorn for burger and fries and would have been waited on and not have to clean off our table. It’s just mediocre

What a great place to stop in for a meal. Catfish basket was a delicious large portion, and served hot. There are several burger options; we had The Cowboy Killer, which was a tasty choice. Lots of healthy and filling food options. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with local nostalgia and has a large outside seating area. Spear Ridge Cafe is a restaurant we will definitely dine at again. Friendly and attentive staff greeted us as we walked in, after we ordered at the counter it was only minutes until our meals were delivered to our table.

Spear Ridge Cafe is a recently open casual dining restaurant in the Independence, KY area. Restaurant was very clean. Staff was exceptionally friendly. Food was excellent. I had the chicken bacon wrap with fries. Wife had the Black n Bleu Smashburger with fries. Manager came around and checked on how everything was which was a nice touch. All their food is made fresh and salad dressings are made in house. They have indoor searing and offer outdoor seating weather permitting. Will definitely be back. Place has a nice vibe.

Spear Ridge in Independence used to be good, but today’s experience was what you’d expect of a restaurant run by giggling teens. They left the fries off an order and gave my fiance hush puppies, instead. When he told them he ordered fries, the girl asked if he ordered fries with his meal because it wasn’t on the receipt. He showed them it WAS on the receipt taped to the bag and on the screen shot of the order I sent him, so she apologized, etc. I also didn’t receive sauce with my own hush puppies like I should have, and there’s barely any sauce on the burgers we ordered. Is there a sauce shortage? So glad I tipped with my mobile order for nothing. Very inspiring visit, as we’re inspired to go elsewhere. We really liked the food/service for a while, but this is the second time we’ve had food problems from this location.
