Very cute and artistic place. Original artwork on turquoise and brown painted brick walls. Historical aesthetics. They have a large list of signature drinks and specials for the seasons. I got the Xmas special called “sweater weather” (eggnog, amaretto, cinnamon latte) and they served it in a Grinch mug. There are tables and couches for seating with speedy free wifi. Parking lot behind the store with a back door entrance. Will definitely be returning!

One of my favorite coffee shops and a Saturday treat for me. I usually run Saturday mornings and it’s become my little treat and tradition to stop for a coffee after my runs. The specials are always my favorite to try since they are so creative and the coffee is always amazing and served up by the friendliest baristas. Definitely recommend you stop by if you’re wanting a yummy coffee and to support a small business!

Flying Squirrel Coffee Company is a downtown treat that I highly recommend. The coffee is excellent, with beans sourced from a local Arlington roaster, and they offer a rotating seasonal menu of specialty drinks each month that keeps things interesting.
The interior is on the smaller side, but I’ve never felt cramped, even when it’s busy. The atmosphere is very cozy, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. They offer both hot and iced options year-round, which is especially appreciated with unpredictable Texas weather, particularly in the fall and winter.
They also provide a few games and books to help keep kids entertained and to encourage guests to relax and enjoy their time. If you’re hungry, there’s a nice selection of pastries and sandwiches available. These items are prepared and packaged off-site, so there isn’t a traditional food menu, but they’re happy to warm them for you and serve them on a plate with utensils. This is a must-stop spot for a great pick-me-up when I’m downtown in Mansfield.

I would’ve reviewed it at 5 stars if the pistachio & rose & wild berry smoothie could stay consistent. I’ve been 3 times, and the first time the coffee was soook good. Which brought me back a second time. Second coffee was ok. Third coffee (same pistachio & rose) tasted nothing like the first or 3rd time. Actually the third one was trash. I wanted to turn around & ask for a remake but I had somewhere to be so I drank it. My husband really enjoyed the wild berry smoothie the first time. Second time it melted pretty fast. It wasn’t the same consistency like the first one. It was real watery like.

My overall experience with the Flying Squirrel Coffee shop is always great. One thing for improvement is that there needs to be consistency with the preparation of the lattes. Depending on who makes them, it is more hit than miss as it relates to taste. This would be a huge win for customers who enjoy a great cup of coffee at the shop.

Friendly service and cozy laidback atmosphere. I love the message they’re sending to the world. I felt I needed to cross paths with the individuals I met today. I had a great conversation and morning prayer while sipping my caramel macchiato coffee. I love it when I feel I’m surrounded by positivity. Due to it being small, seating is limited. What’s pretty neat about it is that even though they have some small tables, the larger ones (seats 8 or so) you just share with other patrons. Okay, you have to if you want to stay & sit but this is the vibe that a coffeeshop should be… like you don’t feel like your personal space is invaded. There is also seating outside, both in the front & back.
I’m not sure how it’s always decorated but it was very patriotic, maybe since we celebrate Independence Day in July. Whether it’s seasonal or like that all the time, I liked it. Very cute!
Huge drink menu, it can be overwhelming but I loved it. I’m a coffee person but for someone who isn’t its very detailed & explains what each type of drink is (like my friend asked what is a cortado) with something for everyone. There are some snacks there too. They have some creative drinks & a seasonal menu they also have displayed by the register. They have their menu printed & copies at the register so you can browse though at your own convenience. Sugar free options made me super happy!

Hot sugar free caramel sugar free mocha latte – this was perfect
The staff was super sweet, if they get the chance they’ll bring your drink to where you are seated. They look like they have fun working together.
Busy place, as it should be! We were there until close (which is why some of my photos show many empty tables, I took pics as were were leaving) but was happy to see others were stopping in to order coffee to go up until the very end, the staff seemed happy to oblige!

Really nice experience! I learned that the husband was a pilot and his wife was so active that her nickname was squirrel- hence the name: Flying Squirrel! Beautiful place!
