First time visiting , Mezcalero was worth the pricing. Drinks were tasty, appetizers were as well.

THE FOOD WAS SOOOOOOO GOOD! There were genuinely no misses, everything was absolutely delicious. I haven’t had calamari at too many places but this calamari was by far my favorite! The service wasn’t spectacular but I feel like that’s to be expected since this isn’t your traditional set up for a restaurant but I’d definitely eat here again!

Super underrated spot. The happy hour is perfect for a quick drink and some small plates—highly recommend. The food was really good; I had the enchiladas, ceviche, and a tostada, and everything was excellent and well-priced. The margaritas were spot-on—I was buzzing after just two. In a city where it’s hard to find a drink under $18, this place is the ideal weeknight hangout.

Came here during lunch hours, the service was very pleasant & quick. I ordered the chicken burrito; it was really great and i was too stuffed to finish. My boyfriend enjoyed their churrasco grilled steak. overall, i would recommend this place to anyone looking for great mexican restaurant to eat.

We really loved this place! We tried it randomly and were so happy we did! The guacamole and the steak quesadilla were absolutely delicious. The fajitas were good as well, but we enjoyed the quesadilla more. Very flavorful, fast service as well

Located towards the back of the restaurant, Mezcalero serves Mexican food that is on the pricier side, although it is relatively inexpensive for DC. The food has good flavor and their burritos are tasty, although I don’t know if they’re worth the price. I got the Sinaloa but I hear the other ones on the back of the menu are equally as good. The cocktail I received (El Diablo) was much too sweet and I’m unsure if I’ll be returning to this location.
