Had a wonderful lunch with the wife at Los Charros Taqueria the other day in Gridley. The Molcajete was wonderful and tasty. The bowl could have been warmer. Extra cheese and just beef and chorizo was wonderful and to order. Wife got the asada tacos and the barria taco was on point. Love the salsa bar.

I had a very disappointing experience at Los Charros Griddle. First, they mistakenly added a $7.40 tip to my bill without asking, which I only noticed after the fact. That alone is concerning, but unfortunately, the food didn’t make up for it.
I ordered a steak burrito, but it came with other meats mixed in, and the steak itself was burnt, tough, and tasted like it had been reheated — possibly even old. My boyfriend’s burrito wasn’t any better; the rice inside was hard and the beans tasted stale, like they had been sitting out for a while.
I’ve been trying to get in contact with the owner to resolve these issues, but no one has responded or followed up.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant. There are much better options for Mexican food that respect your money and serve fresh, quality meals.

A fresh and flavorful authentic Mexican restaurant. I recently visited after getting local reccomendations. I immediately called my partner and told them how much I missed food like this! The ripe central California produce is to die for. If you’re from out of state, appreciate your time here; there is truly something special with Cali-Mex.

Yummy authentic Mexican food. I got the chicken quesadilla and the chicken was seasoned so well. My husband got the pastor Tacos and he loved it. The prices were very reasonable, and the portion sizes were great. We were visiting from out of town and now we wish we had a Los Charros Taquerria back home!
