This off-the-beaten path bar/restaurant is truly a hidden treasure. The absolutely delicious, multiple-year award-winning hot-iron branded hamburgers (of many variations) are a top recommendation. The Au Jus prime-rib-topped burger is my top choice and seems to be a local favorite. The atmosphere is Warm and cozy and it feels like a place that locals love. Service is fast and friendly. Pictured here is the Montana burger topped with huckleberry jam, Swiss cheese and bacon, which my sister said was terrific.

I like this bar its tucked up in the middle of nowhere with nothing else around other than the other bar in town. The atmosphere here is always fun. The minute you walk in your gonna hear people laughing. Th food is great. Alot of fun here.

Some of the best buffalo wings I’ve ever had. I ordered a burger medium rare and it came out perfect and was delicious. Girlfriend had the Indian taco with homemade fry bread and it was great as well. Great service and food was unreal We drove 35 miles to get here and it was more than worth the trip!!!!

This is a Diamond in the rough,in middle of no where. The atmosphere is excellent, for couples as well as families. The staff is friendly & courteous.I recommend Kayla. And the food(chef Candace)…was made exactly as ordered. Old 281 tavern can make a mean cheeseburger, and the owner/grill master Matthew is gifted on the grill.

Food was AMAZING, steak was grilled to Perrrrfection, nice salad; and service was prompt but not pushy. ONLY thing I didn’t care for the music, prohibited much conversation. Definitely worth the trip!
