I wish I could stress on how AUTHENTIC the food is here! Been craving chattichoru for years and thankfully went we visited Manchester and found this gem. The chattichoru was absolutely delicious and literally felt like I was in Kerala the moment I dug in. The kizhi parotta beef and the kizhi biriyani were also incredibly amazing. Not too spicy at all. Everyone will enjoy it at extremely reasonable prices. If you desire ACTUAL and AUTHENTIC Kerala food in Manchester, THIS IS IT!

Visited this restaurant hoping for a good South Indian meal, but it didn’t meet expectations. We ordered Fish Biryani, Kizhi Biryani, Mango Shake, and Gobi Manchurian. Sadly, none of the dishes had great flavor. The biryanis lacked the richness and aroma we expected, and the Gobi Manchurian was dry. The mango shake was just okay.
The ambience was quite plain and didn’t create a nice dining atmosphere but service was good. For the quality of food and overall experience, the prices felt too high. Definitely expected more for what we paid. Not a place I’d be in a hurry to return to.

Kuttanad Taste brought the true spirit of a Kerala Christmas to our event this year. We ordered for a large group, and the quality was as good as dining in the restaurant. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the meat was tender. It’s hard to find such consistent quality for bulk orders, but they nailed it. 10/10 for the Ghee Rice and Chicken Roast!”
The food was authentic, fresh, and arrived right on time. They truly brought the taste of Kerala to our celebration. Highly recommended for any large gathering!”

The food was absolutely delicious, with the pothichoru being a real highlight. The chicken biriyani was stunning—flavorful, well-cooked, and truly enjoyable. The service was excellent throughout, making the experience even better. The Liverpool to Manchester journey felt extra special thanks to the tasty food and great hospitality. Highly recommended!

This restaurant offers delicious, authentic Kerala cuisine. Staff’s are friendly and polite. Parking is conveniently available on nearby street. While the ambiance isn’t fancy, the food more than makes up for it. Highly recommended

I recently visited Kuttanad and ordered chattichor, expecting a flavorful and authentic experience. Unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. The food lacked flavor, and the fish fry was burnt on one side — far from what we hoped for.
The service made things even worse. The staff were unprofessional and unfriendly, and the person at the reception was especially. There was no sense of hospitality throughout our visit.
To top it off, when it came time to pay, we were told they don’t accept card payments — something that was never mentioned before we placed the order. We were forced to go to a nearby ATM, which cost us an extra pound just for the withdrawal. This kind of inconvenience should have been communicated upfront.
Overall, it was a very disappointing experience in terms of both food and service. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

Just dined here a couple minutes back and couldn’t hold myself from sharing the foodgasmic experience. They have 4 tables and seating of max 16 people. The ambiance is simple. It will give you the vibes of visiting any small cafe or restaurants especially in Goa or South India where they focus more on providing home cooked meals and this is exactly what you get here. Being a Tuesday, there were many people who came to dine it but delivery orders were absolutely mad. It was so busy.
I think Roshan is the name of the gentleman who runs the place. I ordered for a Thalassery Chicken Biryani which came with raita and lemon pickle, it was so tasty I got extra 2 small containers from them. The Biryani if had alone is enough for a person but if you order a starter then definitely can be shared between 2.
I also ordered the Thattukada Chicken Fry which is garnished with crushed pappadum and sliced onions and paired it with Kallappam – a bread which is a bit sweet made from fermented batter.
Lovely food. Very reasonably priced. All of this with 3 cans of Pepsi costed £20.
Will visit again to try more dishes.

Recently visited kuttanad taste with my wife. She ordered pothichoru which she liked very much. I was not well, so ordered kothu porotta, it was average, loved it. The hotel maintenance is poor. Staff were good. Difficult to find a parking. Will visit again to try pothichoru

Visited this Kerala restaurant today for lunch with a group of four. We ordered biriyani, porotta with beef fry, and chapati with curry. The food tasted good and was well prepared, especially the Kerala-style dishes.
The dining space is quite limited, so it may not be very comfortable for larger groups, though it’s manageable for a few people.
The biggest downside was the waiting time — it took almost one hour to receive our food after placing the order, which was very disappointing.
Overall, the food quality is good, but the long wait time and limited seating affect the experience.
