We came here to eat our l purely on accident. Went to try another restaurant, but it had issues, so we decided to give this place a try. The young lady was very attentive, was cleaning in between helping people & was serving orders. The prices are reasonable & the food came out pretty fast. Everything was hot & tasted seasoned. The red beans & rice was just ok. We really enjoyed the catfish & shrimp. This was a good place to get a hit meal with great service. We’ll be back to try other menu options.

This was our first visit for a lunch get together for me and a good friend. My friend ordered the Friday catfish filet special- 2 fried catfish filets, home cut fries, toasted bread, jalapeño pepper and pickles for $9.99. I had the fried shrimp platter – 10 fried shrimp, home cut fries, Mac n cheese, jalapeño pepper, toasted bread, and pickles for $16.99.
The food was hot and seasoned well. The shrimp was very crunchy. The fries were good- I’m a carb junkie!! The mac n cheese was a little dry and could have used a little more seasoning.
My friend said the fried catfish was seasoned well and hot as well.
The amount of food is a good portion-plenty of fries!!
Ms. Sandra, part owner I believe, was so kind and sweet. She thanked us for choosing their establishment and that she will be looking for us to come back.
We both did a take out order of the Friday catfish special for our husband’s to try.

We tried this spot based on other reviews. Not bad at all. The fried fillets are GOOD! The fried shrimp was good. Red beans & rice were good, but for me, I needed a tad bit more cajun seasoning, but i probably would get it again. It’s definitely not bad at all. My wife loved the greens. Again, to me, it was missing something, but I would get them again. We weren’t a fan of the boudan ball. The dirty rice was ON POINT!!! Definitely recommend. The corn and potatoes were good. The cornbread was good. Thought we would want 2 each, but 1 each was enough for us, honestly. The cajun egg rolls were cool. They are definitely better with the sauce. The ladybat the register was cool, not rude but didn’t seem welcoming at first, but when she bagged our food up, she was nice and smiling & and laughing at my reactions. Just wish the welcoming was the same because we initially planned to dine in but opted for to-go instead. Overall, I would definitely go back for the fried fish. The place was nice and clean, nice old school jams on the speakers. Not overly loud, could still have a private convo and jam.

Love coming on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the turkey neck special but got daaaaaang, the customer service sucks (I just be like ok, everybody and people persons) AND they are always closed at odd times. There has been multiple instances where we pull up and there is a sign on the door saying “will be back”. Then don’t even be back at the time the sign says! But let folks tell it, we don’t support..

Not sure why it’s always the black businesses that has to have bad service but it’s no surprise at this point. Honestly I wanted to walk right on out of there because of the bad service. The man that works there with the glasses lol has 0 people skills. Should hire someone to take orders that has enthusiasm. He literally finally came up to the register and stood there, didn’t greet or ask to take my order, basically looked at me the entire time waiting for me to speak and do his job. Even down to me ordering my food didn’t ask if I wanted everything on it that came with my food, wasn’t concerned at all. I did end up telling him myself how I wanted my food, he sighed & said fine you want that on the side ok as if it was going to be such a big damn deal. Now the lady that works there on the other hand very good customer service but that guy sucks! I tried to call and speak on this manner but the phone is out of service which drives customers to come in and place their order instead. Again that’s all cool but don’t have an attitude and not greet your customers and not taking orders properly. Food was good but the place left a bad taste in my mouth. He probably acts that way because he know rather his attitude is stank or not people will still order but he’s terrible won’t say I won’t come back but the next time I do if he’s there I’ll ask for someone else to take my order/make a complaint about him. Disgusting behavior, do better as an older man with wisdom you should know better!

Came here after a day of shopping with my family. Tried the fried catfish basket and added grilled shrimp as well as the neckbones, sausage, potatoes, and corn. DELICIOUS! Everything is hot and fresh. The catfish fillets were fried perfection. The neckbones were tender and you get plenty!
Cherry on top is a good, positive attitude and the gentleman that served us had exactly that. Very clean establishment and chill vibe.
We plan to come back!

I couldn’t write this review fast enough!!! I’m still eating as I type, this food so well seasoned! REAL CATFISH Crunchy crust and sauce paired well on top! Will be back probably weekly! Sorry for the photo but it was that good that I started digging in first. Don’t walk, RUUUUN!

I have been a supportive customer of A Taste of Cajun since they opened. We frequent this restaurant 2-3 times per month. We visited Thursday night (10/23) about an hour before closing. We ordered the catfish Rickey and the eggrolls. My husband began eating the catfish and noticed it was still pink it the middle and the shrimp were overcooked. I returned to the restaurant Friday (10/24) at 12:34 pm with the plate and the doors were locked. I waited 10 minutes before trying again and nothing. The hours state that they open at noon. I sent a message on Facebook and still have not heard back. I am truly disappointed as the food is always amazing, and the service is even better. We will not return.

This was a PLEASANT SURPRISE to find. The food was good, the service was good. The space is tiny but our group of 6 ate in and all had something different. The blackened salmon, fried shrimp, cajun eggrolls, Cajun potato and NOTHING disappointed. The greens were a lil bit like doctored up canned Glory greens but still good cuz I didn’t have to cook them. The place is cook to order so show up with patience PLEASE. The owners are in there making their dream happen and it tastes delicious.

I’m very disappointed because I have eaten here before. However, yesterday my husband got take out and the quality and taste of the pork chops/steaks were horrible. The greens also tasted like grit and dirty water. I will not be returning and please do better.
