Black Lung Brewing Grayslake: Food to-go
Reviews
We plan to come back in better weather so that we can enjoy some outdoor seating.
The restaurant is open and can be noisy because of the style of the room. There are beautiful art pieces showing off issue is Grayslake and parts of the brewery. They also have some arcade cabinets.
They had a decent menu that we were excited to try. We started the cheese curds. Sure it was more of cheese cubes instead of curds but they were massive and tasted great. My wife had the Summer Grove salad and I had the Habanero hot honey chicken sandwich. We were both very happy with our meals.
I had there Oktoberfest, left fork and the pistachio rose. The Oktoberfest was definitely my favorite followed by the pistachio rose. Would have loved to do a sampler but it wasn’t available yet.
If you are in the area it is definitely something to check out.
Grayslake’s Black Lung is the refined sibling of the trio, the one who dresses a little nicer but still sneaks out the back to join the band. The taproom is clean, crisp, and dangerously comfortable. The beer? Smooth enough to trust, bold enough to keep you honest.
Their events crank up the charm factor fast. Live music feels curated, not chaotic. Their fests run like a well-oiled parade of local talent, each act adding color to the place’s easygoing vibe. If Round Lake is the heartbeat and Fox Lake is the adrenaline, Grayslake is the groove.
This is where stories settle in and stay awhile.
EPILOGUE: ONE TROUBADOUR, THREE HOMES
From Round Lake’s raw energy
to Fox Lake’s breezy bravado
to Grayslake’s polished pulse,
Black Lung Brewing isn’t just a set of taprooms.
It’s a circuit.
A community web.
A string of nights that turn into memories simply because you walked through the door.
And as a modern-day troubadour of the digital map, I can say this with confidence:
each location brings its own tale, its own crowd, its own music, its own heartbeat.
Different stages.
Same soul.
Always worth the trip.
I went for dinner last night with a close friend and her daughter.
Neither of us are huge drinkers, but she liked the Oktoberfest and my sangria was good.
I’m hoping their menu will continue to expand? We split the goat cheese salad as an app, then I had the tomato bisque soup, and she had a jerk chicken sandwich. Salad and soup were really good, but the jerk chicken sandwich wasn’t amazing.
Great service & good atmosphere! Looking forward to trying a beyond burger in the future!
