Beantown Diner

Beantown food is decent and fairly priced.
Service is a bit slow, and the food takes a while to come out—but the taste is pretty good, so it’s worth the wait.
That said, 3 out of 5 times they burn the bread, and the home fries are always burned—overcooked and dried out.
If they’re leftovers from earlier breakfast, it’d be better to just make a fresh batch. The only other option is the baked beans, but they’re too sweet, tastes like they put a full spoon of sugar in there, so never again since the 1st time.
I will still wait for the day we get golden-crispy home fries…

I have been a regular for years!! Maria keeps me coming back – her service, the food, and the lovely vibes are amazing. Consistently great food and service. Cannot recommend it enough.

Good food for a fair price, large portions. Staff seemed a bit rude, though. A male staff member was loudly complaining about one table to another. There was an old guest who seemed to be lost and instead of quietly asking him to leave, the male staff member loudly across the restaurant asked the other server if the guy was homeless, “He has been here all day”, he then loudly across the room shouted at the man that it wasn’t his living room and he can’t stay here all day. Aside from being inappropriate, it also made my table and others uncomfortable. Good food, but my own service was a bit slow. I needed to ask for drink refills each time, which paired with the uncomfortable situation dampened my rating for this outing.

I used to love their food and service as of yesterday. Today I’m DONE eating there. The service was really bad. I ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches with sausage and got this. When I called to ask what happened the person decided to argue with me telling me what I ordered. I told them that in the notes can explain what I ordered but the person was combative and didn’t want to listen. Told them that I have a picture in my phone of what I ordered, and the person didn’t want to hear that. I’m not going to argue with a stranger so I hung up. But they just lost a costumer and all my friends that I sent there.

During my recent visit from out of state, I stumbled upon Beantown Diner, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip! I ordered the “Beantown Sampler,” which includes two fluffy pancakes, two eggs prepared any style, and your choice of bacon, sausage, or ham. It was a hearty and satisfying meal that truly hit the spot! The pancakes were perfectly fluffy, and I loved the option to customize my eggs just the way I wanted.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast. To top it all off, the service was outstanding—our server was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal.
I also discovered that Beantown Diner has recently introduced diner hours from Wednesday to Friday, which is fantastic! This means more opportunities for locals and travelers alike to enjoy their delicious offerings. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for a memorable breakfast experience. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their delightful menu!

Three stars is a bit generous. The cook mistimed everything we ordered. The eggs were cold, sausage links were hard like sticks. The potatoes were barely lukewarm, and had no flavor to them at all. The pancakes were undercooked and just overall bad. The service was slow and sloppy. Don’t plan on going back. $36 for breakfast little too much for what it was and the coffee was not anything great.

Really cozy diner with delicious food and good prices. My party had a really nice server. I got chocolate chip pancakes and home fries. The chocolate chips were stuffed with chocolate chips. The short stack is two large pancakes. It was super sweet. The home fries were toasted with a great seasoning.

Great Diner!! Tons of different options to choose from. I loved my blueberry pancakes! The Beantown Turkey Omelette was fantastic with real roasted turkey….not deli meat…..with fresh mushrooms & onions. When I’m near Stoughton I’ll dine here! Also daily specials on the chalkboard.
