The American Legion supports the gays!!!!
My wife is an American Legion dual member, she served in the military and has been coming to the legion for 7 years. I am so proud of her for being herself no matter what anyone thinks and showing the other veterans the kindness and respect that is owed to all veterans, no matter their orientation. She has taught them that she is one of their brothers in arms and deserves the same respect and honor that they do.
Thank you to all the members and staff that have shown us so much love and support. I have never walked into a bar that felt like home.like this place does.
Please come in and show your support for the veterans and “the gays”!

If you’re looking for a relaxing hangout for us older folks (LOL) that like having a conversation without needing to scream over music, go here! The bartenders are friendly. It supports a great cause too.

Fun and friendly and welcoming place, full of great activities and the nicest charming bartenders (Jim’s my favorite). Also serves snacks, pizza, and sometimes hotdogs. Best prices around. Open to the public and helps veterans! Why isn’t this place listed under bars of McHenry? Odd.

They are a great group of people who really help the veterans and service people in the community! Come visit sometime. They host lots of fun & fantastic events! Also they have remodeled the Legion building! It looks fantastic so stop in for a drink and play the games and King of Clubs game!
