The food was absolutely amazing the chef goes by The Loyal Cook is definitely one of the best in the city. I tasted his food at the taste of black Cleveland and I been telling people ever since that young guy is going to be special. He is very polite, friendly and the food is just amazing …if you haven’t already you definitely need to check this place out.

The place itself is absolutely beautiful!! The only thing I didn’t like was that the front doors were locked but you could walk right in off the street through where people were seated. Should be some kind of blocking right there. The DJ the night we went (Friday 9/26) was doing his thang!! Really enjoyed the music. Where it went down was the actual service. When we walked in, one of the bartenders was actually on the floor delivering drinks to someone and I know she saw us come in. Then I realized it looked like there were only 2 of them working behind the bar. We joined another couple that was already there who had drinks and received food about 15 minutes into us getting there. We had no one come to ask about drinks after being there for approximately 20 minutes so my husband ended up going to the bar. After finally getting the attention of one of the young ladies, and actually getting my drink, I noticed he seemed to be having a back and forth conversation with the bartender and it didn’t look good. After he paid and he came back to the table I asked what happened and he said he just needed her to make his drink the way he asked. It seemed as if it was an issue for her. We both had only one drink and ended up leaving. Service was too long ( for us)that night. I was also turned off when I noticed there was an 18% gratuity added to each check. So if you start one, leave the tab open and don’t close it until you are absolutely done. I wouldn’t mind paying the gratuity if we were getting the service to go along with it. Anywhere we go, we always tip way over so we can make sure the bartender comes right back to us. I was so disappointed because I really wanted to try the food and did not get to.We left and went somewhere else and got way better service, drinks and some food.

Enjoyed Sunday brunch with my family at . First and foremost, the interior design is modernistic and an eccentric vibe . The service was great too and the server was a lot of help with food suggestions. My family ordered pancakes , waffles , eggs , turkey bacon , turkey sausages, salmon croquettes, French toast , and mimosas . Everything was great. Definitely returning to experience dinner soon.

Came from out of town and the waitress from sunset kitchen recommended this place. Sat at the bar for 10 minutes with not so much as hi, hello, be right with you or nothing. The vibes were great but that’s it. As a bartender watching 3/4 people behind the bar and we couldn’t even get a drink is crazy.

Overall, very good. We got to-go. Got appetizers for dinner to feed two. We both ended being full. Only complaint is the rolled dish was room temp, still ate it and it was good lol. Deviled eggs were amazing. The Salmon Sandwiches & fries were delicious. We will be back next time we want to eat out.

I was at another establishment, I asked the staff where just we go next ,they suggested Merkari,we pulled up the vibe was goin,we sat at the bar,it was dirty glasses,finished food there. The bartenders seen us sitting there and Never acknowledged us,which was beyond rude! They danced around and socialized with other customers,they would look over but not come serve us.After about 20 minutes we left! I guess our money was no good here ,therefore I won’t be back!

I attended this establishment around 7pm-10pm for happy hour. They offered happy hour food and drink prices all night. Granted not an abundance of selections but overall pretty fair menu. My drinks were satisfying, food was pretty ok, and the service from my waitress (Marvelous) in particular and in particular only was GREAT. The set up of this place was nice, and the vibe between that time frame was nice, before the youngsters take over. Overall my experience was cool, so I gave it a 4 star rating.
