Service was horrible walked in confused 4 servers didn’t even acknowledge us. Way more interested in filming a commercial. We sat for a good 10 minutes before realizing it was counter order. Placed smelled like restroom, and was so hot, had to ask to turn on the AC. And the food was the worst, hard potatoes reheated tortillas, cashier didn’t ask any specifics on our food. We just left in the middle of our breakfast. The worst part was when asked about the potatoes the employee confronted my wife and told her “I didn’t take your order”. We were the only ones there. Their homemade tortillas are amazing. The salsa is actually hot (for my white tongue) but also flavorful.
As an autistic person, I have texture sensitivities with fatty meat, like the Surtida, but it was too good that I got past that issue.
All around, way too good of food to pass up, so please do yourself a favor and at least try this place.

This Taqueria has amazing authentic and flavorful food. I had the Chalupas with rice and my husband had a lengua burrito and spicy pork soup! Soooo good! Best I’ve ever had, my new fave.

If you want great food, this is the place to be. The Pozole is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. The portions are very generous, it’s spicy but not over powering. The hand made tortillas are heaven. It’s a must have when you visit this place

My husband and I went here for lunch on a Saturday and everything was great. The girl helping was helpful and chill. The food was also great and the rice was fantastic something I’ve actually been looking for in my area.

Finally found my street taco fix since moving to Richardson. We ordered several tacos to-go, as we were still recovering from the holidays. Their pastor tacos were some of the best I’ve had – super tender, balanced flavors, plenty of fresh cilantro and onions, and the salsa topped it off perfectly. The suadero were my second favorite of all the tacos we tried this visit. Can’t wait to go back and try some others! If you are looking for legit street tacos, you won’t be disappointed here.

I ordered the color of res and first off it came out warm. The vegetables weren’t thoroughly cooked and the meat was tough the soup itself had a good spicy flavor but it wasn’t done cooking yet. I also ordered a taco de barbacoa. Taco was good yet I wasn’t offered any salsa. They’re the only reason I stopped at this place was for the caldo. I was very disappointed

Hands down the best tacos I ever had. The Trompo (pastor) tacos were the go to for us. The flautas were always delicious as well. Always got “ to go” and the food was ready within 10mins. We since have moved to Austin and always missing Chimalhuacan’s tacos.
