Would I come back? Absolutely. But I might keep one eye on my Blizzard and the other on the exit—just in case.
Let me set the scene: it was a hot summer day — the kind where the sun feels personally offended that you’re outside. My friends and I were melting, morale was low, and someone muttered the magic words: “Let’s go to Dairy Queen.” That decision changed everything.
We pulled up like weary travelers entering an oasis. But it wasn’t just the Blizzard menu that made this trip unforgettable — it was Joey Kim, the customer service GOAT. If Gordon Ramsay worked at DQ and had the soul of a stand-up comedian built like a Funko Pop, you’d get Joey.
He greeted us like long-lost family. “Welcome to DQ! Home of the Blizzard, heart of the people!” Is that corporate policy? Doesn’t matter. It felt biblical.
He didn’t take our order — he analyzed us. “You look like a brownie batter type. Bold. Dangerous. I respect it.” I was seen. I was known.
Every second he was on shift was a full-blown performance. He flipped Blizzards like a magician, roasted me when I hesitated (“This ain’t a courtroom, bro, just pick your toppings”), and managed to train a new employee while running the front like a general.
And his height? Let’s address it — Joey is vertically conservative. He had to hop on a stool to reach the top freezer and said, “Short kings rise.” Iconic. His height isn’t a weakness. It’s a weapon for comedy and charm. Joey doesn’t need inches — he’s got presence.
A kid dropped his cone? Joey replaced it instantly, threw in a smile and a dad-joke, and restored world peace. Okay maybe not world peace, but at least family peace.
Food-wise: flawless. Hot fries, crisp chicken, and the Blizzard had such perfect topping distribution I thought NASA made it. I’ve never eaten a sundae and felt like I owed someone a thank-you note — until now.
We stuck around after eating just to bask in the Joey experience. When we finally left, he hit us with: “Remember, life’s short… but so am I. Come back soon.” That’s Hall of Fame material.
This wasn’t just a meal. It was a moment. A vibe. A memory. Joey Kim isn’t just a worker — he’s a Dairy Queen legend.
If you ever come here, PRAY Joey’s working. Your serotonin levels will thank you.
Five stars. Six if I could. Give this man a raise — or at least a gold-trimmed step stool.
Cashiers never listen when ordering sides always forgets them. They fill the cups all the way up with ice so you get 2 sips of your drink. The food is always room temperature even though they say your waiting on fresh, its never hot or warm. They don’t give full size chicken strips only little broken pieces. They will charge you so sauce cups and not give them to you. This is ridiculous how no one at this location can just do their job. Corporate needs to do an inspection on this franchise its not up to the standards they need to be at!
When I walked in, the place didn’t feel very clean—there were flies bombarding my face as soon as I opened the door, which was not a great first impression. The customer service felt awkward from the start. The girl who took my order admitted she didn’t know how to make the Blizzard I ordered, laughed about it, and asked a coworker to make it for her instead of using the chance to learn.
The coworker, who had been cleaning the lobby at the time, went straight to preparing my Blizzard without washing his hands, which was really off-putting. Between the unsanitary environment, the lack of training, and the uncomfortable service, this visit was pretty disappointing.
