We used to love this place. We haven’t been in some time. The service was insanely slow. Over 30 mins for 2 dishes. People that sat down after us got their food first. I always get 118. Less meat now.. And the egg roll was just not good. It was significantly lighter in color and there was some weird gelatinous substance inside that was gross. We were really disappointed in our meals and service. We both agreed we will not be back any time soon. Very unfortunate. Used to be an amazing restaurant.

The food is incredible! They are currently very understaffed, which is unfortunate, but the delicious food is worth the wait. Do not go if you are in a rush. If you can sit and enjoy your meal and your companions, it is wonderful. The minimal staff they do have are so sweet and helpful! I have tried and loved the pho, the crab rangoons, biscuits, cashew chicken, and fried rice. Scrumptious!

This wonderful restaurant has been around for a long time, but off my beaten path, so I forget about it, but it’s not to be missed anymore, as it’s become a fave! It’s located in a small plaza where few businesses remain, but they have plenty of customers and an attached gaming parlor with gambling machines in a separate room – it’s nice that they separate it from the family seating (you’ve got to be 21 to enter).

The food is amazing. We have some favorite Chinese places, so we went straight for the Vietnamese foods and they didn’t disappoint! For appetizers, we order #101, Vietnamese egg rolls – simple and delicious with some amazing sauce that marries the flavors together and #103 Vietnamese spring rolls, which we do vegetarian, so veggies wrapped in rice paper, served cold with great peanut flavored sauce. For entrees, we love #140 Vegetarian pan-seared RICE noodles – they are thick and dense noodles with the crispiness of the pan sear, topped with vegetables, tofu and a brown sauce we’ve recently been asking them to make it spicy and it hits the spot every time – perfect heat for the dish, not overwhelming and no lingering burn. We also ordered #117 Special Vermicelli that came with shrimp, pork, chicken, and veggies over super thin noodles, which my adult son described as “quite tasty” and he’d “definitely order it again.”

We placed orders by phone and we are promptly greeted upon arrival and checked out in no time – staff is very friendly and takes time to answer questions, explain dishes and make future recommendations. I believe it was the owner that came out and interacted today, which emphasizes why these small restaurants thrive – they get to know the community they serve and make you feel welcome, sharing their cuisines and growing our palettes. Give them a shot, you won’t be disappointed!

Like many places today, they’ve become part of the shrinkflation trend. I used to always order the chicken pho with extra chicken, and my partner would get the beef pho. After trying the pho this time, we noticed the portions were smaller and much lighter with less noodles and noticeably less meat. Even with the extra chicken I ordered, it still felt like less than before. We also ordered the Vietnamese Shrimp Eggrolls and the regular eggrolls. These used to come with four pieces each, but we only received two per order. The prices have gone up, yet the portions have clearly gone down. For context, the last time I visited was back on Mother’s Day, and the portions were perfectly fine. A few months later, the serving sizes have shrunk while the cost has increased. The waiter is friendly, but it’s always the same person working alone. Because of that, the service is slow. Expect to spend about 1.5 to 2 hours here depending on how busy the restaurant is.

They have the best viet menu around and we are always craving to go back. The banh xeo, and bun dish #117 are our favorites and authentic, I was impressed. Bhat always greets us with a friendly smile. If you call the first time for pick up and the line is busy, try again later. That probably just means they’re taking another order, they can get busy at times, I think they may have limited staff. but the wait is worth it!

While visiting the restaurant on Sunday, there were a group of people that came in friends of the owners. Because I asked and was told there were friends of the owners. They came in and went to the table that was for us. Walked right past us. My wife had to let them know this was our table. While waiting for our food which took a hour they got their food and drinks first. While we were waiting one of the men the gets up and goes into the kitchen not once but a couple of times. There was a young man (child) with them as well. The child gets up and goes to the soda machine and gets his own drink. After he had his fingers in his mouth. If the Health Department were notified of this they would be looking into it.

Saigon is a wonderful family-owned restaurant where we go when we’re looking for exceptional pho. Servers are very accommodating, the food came out quickly, and we were very pleased with our hot pho on a chilly day.

We went for lunch two days before Thanksgiving. Our server spoke limited English and did his best to understand what we asked for. My husband asked what kind of nut was served with the spring rolls (because of an allergy). He can eat peanuts, which is what was served. But he asked the server if it was cashews (which he is allergic to) and the server brought chopped cashews for him. We laughed together with the server when this happened and he took the cashews back quickly.

One more note, I asked for a soft boiled egg in my pho and was served pho with a scrambled egg in it instead. Another misunderstanding I’m sure. My pho was still delicious and we were both very pleased. Just something to be aware of, especially if you have specific food allergies.

Their pho is seriously some of the best we’ve tasted, maybe just behind the pho we had in Chinatown in LA. On another visit, I enjoyed their general tso’s chicken. It was crispier and spicier than most Chinese takeout restaurants around here and I loved it!

Nice strip mall restaurant. I will say they move a bit slow so I did call my order in and still showed up 5 minutes later. The food was hot and the General Tao’s chicken was flavorful, yet spicy.

I have posted the hours and menu for you to see. Good luck!

Saigon is straight up delicious. A huge menu, decent prices, and polite and speedy service means you should eat here anytime you want Chinese or Vietnamese food. Dont be deceived by the look of the outside. The restaurant is very clean. Sweet and sour chicken is exceptional. Try it!
