Treasure Island
We stayed at Hotel Captain Cook during Fur Rondy.
Probably because of the event, the cafe seemed busy especially after 7:30, so we ate breakfast only once during our stay.
We went down there before 7:00 am but they had several empty tables but this was after the Iditarod.
The employees were very nice and the service was fast.
We ordered the sourdough pancakes and Alaskan breakfast.
We have eaten reindeer sausages in Finland before but the one here did not have a strong smell and flavor so we enjoyed eating them for breakfast.
The pancakes were a little flatter and not super fluffy but that might be because they were sourdough based so theyay not rise as other pancakes do. The Alaskan breakfast was very nice and well rounded especially if you need a hardy breakfast before going out into the cold. Would recommend at least trying here once during you stay in Anchorage.

Located inside the hotel, this place offers a good breakfast for the money, and the layout is pretty cool. The service was good, but not great. Nice place for a breakfast with friends.

I will definitely return! The service was great, the food was amazing and I enjoyed the atmosphere. I had reindeer sausage for the first time, and while good, I had to cut the skin off as it was hard to eat.

Unexpectedly delicious breakfast in the lobby of Captain Cook hotel. I got a make your own omlet and added white cheddar cheese (yum!!). Roasted potatoes were so good. My server was lovely.

Beautiful establishment, excellent service, and a great breakfast menu! We split the avocado toast but it also came with either fruit or eggs for just $12!! Karen was a great waitress, timely service and excellent attitude! We will be back!

If you’re visiting the Hotel Captain Hook then you’ll pass by The Café numerous times. The openness of The Café makes finding your friends and family easy, so consider telling them to meet you here! The food is great for quick bites to eat, but the hours are limited to the early part of the day. The servers will expect you’re in a hurry before loading up on the buses, so service is really quick. Have a look at the model ship while you’re waiting and enjoy all the people watching!

This place does not know how to cook eggs. I asked for over hard and my kid asked for over medium. The white was so runny neither of us could eat our eggs. Don’t order eggs here. Rest of the meal was okay. Service fair, nice atmosphere. I’d give it a four if the eggs were not so poorly done.
