My wife spotted this place on 7/21, so I picked it up for dinner—and if you’re ordering a bento box, you’re definitely getting your money’s worth. The portions are generous, and everything tasted fresh.
They’re closed on Tuesdays (there’s a sign on the door), so we came back to dine in on 7/23. The California roll in the bento box surprised me—it was so good I actually wanted more!
The spicy tonkotsu ramen had a solid kick (a must for me), the pork chashu was tender, and the broth was full of flavor. The chicken dumpling and spring roll were both perfectly crispy.
Highly recommend giving this spot a try. I’m always happy to support great-tasting Asian food close to home—especially when it means avoiding the Bellaire traffic!

My son suffers with autism and doesn’t do well with crowds, but wanted sushi and hibachi for his 20th birthday.
From the moment you walk in, they make you feel like you belong there. Everything i asked them was “yes” we can can do that. When he taste the first bite I saw the smile on his “picky” little face, and I knew he was happy.
The food was excellent and the service marched the food. This is a new place so I chose it because I heard the food was good, but didn’t expect it to be that fresh. Huge thank you to Vivian and the chefs at Red Charcoal Hibachi Grill. Vivian treated us like family and brought out all our food to us and even brought some house made hot sauce to the table.
We had shrimp tempura for an appetizer with “Yummy” sauce and the two chicken bento boxes.
The food arrived quickly and was absolutely incredible. I had my chicken over noodles and my wife had hers over rice.
When I say that everything was AMAZING I mean it. I wish we lived closer! We ended up requesting more “yummy” sauce and the homemade hot sauce was delicious.
We will DEFINITELY be back next time we are in town. Thank you Vivian for all the wonderful food and terrific service!

Finally get to try this new place and it lived up the hype! Food tastes very good and fresh. The food portion is HUGE for the price. The owner was there to greet us and explained the menu. I ordered what they recommended – bento boxes, teriyaki, sushi rolls, etc. for 4 people. My personal favorite was the bento box but everything was delicious. The owner told us the teriyaki sauce is homemade, no wonder the grill meats were so good. I have been to many other hibachi places and the food here easily makes my top 3! This place is a quick-service restaurant, you order at the counter, sit back, and they bring the food to your table. Our food came quickly in around 5 minutes. Good place for a quick work lunch.

Both were super delicious, full of flavor, and very fresh rice. Sauce on the salmon was the perfect pairing for the fish. All the fried food had the perfect crunch.
Shrimp tempura rolls were super good too. Food was all freshly made and well cooked.

The service was good but the food had no flavor and the fried rice was very dark very unusual. The shrimp tempura was ok but the shrimp was barely there. The spring rolls were fried dough not any vegetables. A bit pricey for the food without any flavor.
