We ordered doordash while visiting DC as this was high on my list of places to try. I read it is a carryout or delivery spot only but google maps and the address they have listed were not jiving so we had it delivered.
They gave us a variety of sauces for the drumstix but I preferred them plain! Great crisp batter and flavor already. Tip: the drumstix taste just as good cold out the fridge the next day!
The collard greens were solid- maybe wishing for a little more tang. Now that mac n cheese-unbelievable! Super creamy and rich and melted in your mouth!
I am a sucker for vegan soul food so any time I find one on yelp as we travel, you can bet l am getting at least one meal there.

I would consider myself a regular here and each time I order the same exact meal and it’s great. But for some reason this particular time it was not. Part of my meal was is the Mac & Cheese, which was watered down as if it was not thoroughly cooked and it was very salty. It was underwhelming and unsettling.I just hope in the near future when I return, I don’t have this experience anymore.

HIGE PORTIONS! DELISH CHICKEN WINGS MAC AND CHEESE! I was commuting from Miami to New York and in town briefly. Looking for a vegan place. The parking is hard and there is no dine in but the deliciousness of the food hands-down is worth taking out and eating home. The employee was so nice. He went out of his way to help me order on the kiosk. I was lost and he actually walked me back to the restaurant when apparently he was already off his shift. Very nice people I highly recommend them.!

Found this place for my wife to order food for dinner during her work trip. She LOVED it. Ordered fried chicken, greens, mac and cheese, and cornbread and ate every bite. Definitely recommend checking them out!

Unfortunately, I never received my food. I ordered with the kiosk and waited an hour… no one came to check in on me or anything… I had to complain to another cook from a different restaurant that my order from Nuvegan was taking an hour.. then a Nuvegan employee came to the window and notified me that the person who was supposed to open today didn’t show up so the employee had JUST arrived, I said “okay, how long will my order take now then?” And he responded that they actually didn’t have the item that I ordered….. I asked for a refund and he nicely and calmly did that for me… however, my time was absolutely wasted… this is about my 3rd “MEH” experience with nuvegan at a 3rd different location… I don’t think I will be visiting any Nuvegan location again…. Pretty disappointed especially because I really believed in supporting a Black owned business and a vegan business…

The food at NuVegan was really good. The drummies were the best I had so far! The portions were also plentiful and food was fresh.
I love that at this location, there are many restaurants inside to order from. However, The location was a little hard to find and is very congested because there is not a lot of space for vehicles to park or turn around. There was also quite a bit of wait time for food. You will definitely need some patience if you go. Overall experience was two thumbs up.

The food here is absolutely delicious! Myself and my family always order heaps of food from here regularly and we are never disappointed.
Everything is delicious, but my favorites are the veggie drumsticks, mac and cheese, cheese burger and the cornbread.
I cannot leave out how scrumptious the sweet potato pie is! Definitely worth trying. I hope they keep it on the menu. It tastes just like my deceased Godfather’s sweet potato pies he would make.
And yes. Everything here is vegan!

Ordered the bbq tofu, red curry tofu, noodles and wings. Only the wings were passable. Most of the dishes did not taste fresh and in fact some were ice cold and had to be heated. Surprised by the largely positive reviews.

Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful food. I stopped in today drove 2 hours away to visit and was extremely impressed. The location to order and pickup was an interesting experience ! I like different but the food was amazing loved the Mac and cheese sweet potato and greens. Absolutely scrumptious.
