Here for a family dinner with 6. Seated right away. Service was great, chef was great though tonight our chef was just a little pepper happy. Steaks cooked correctly as 4 different temperatures were requested. Drinks were never empty; just all around a very pleasant evening.

7/30/30 – birthday meal. Decent size crowd, had a short wait for hibachi grill table. Great cook with good personality. Food was cooked perfectly. They have added Tilapia to the fish option with salmon. No salad or shrimp appetizers during lunch and the portions are smaller than dinner. We are not sushi fans, but the sushi our table mates did look really good! We will definately be returning in the future!!
12/24/2022 – Christmas Day meal with the family. Surprisingly, the restaurant was not very busy and we arrived about 12:45 pm.
The Good: We were able to sit at one of the grills and had a great waiter and cook!! Everything was cooked to order and the soup was fantastic. The Bad: too much ginger in the salad dressing which is normally my favorite – didn’t finish it.
We came for lunch on Sunday for Fathers Day. Arrived about 1:30 pm to avoid some of the crowd. Be aware that at lunch, salad with ginger dressing and the shrimp appetizer DO NOT come with the meal!! This location also does not have catfish, but they do have salmon. Food was ok, the cook was not as personable as some of the ones we have had. He overcooked the steak, was supposed to be medium, came out more well done and chewy and my husband said the salmon was over cooked and dry. We normally go to the location on 82nd and slide, but this one is closer to our home. We love O’hana and will be back, but hope we get a different cook..

I have given this place 3 tries and each time I am disappointed. The first time they rushed our order and rushed us out. The second time nothing was cooked the correct way. This last time they seem to be out of everything and have no replacements. I do not recommend coming here, instead make the trip to the other location. Always a 10/10 overall over there.

It’s been two years since I have been here.
Tonight ( June 13, 2024) the food was terrible and my waiter couldn’t understand English.
The Eel Roll with the Eel sauce was so sweet I could hardly eat it.
The Spicy Crawfish Roll just tasted nasty and nauseating! I could not even eat a whole bite. I sent it back and told the waiter my concerns. He just couldn’t comprehend that it would taste bad.
I have included a picture of my receipt…he still charged me for the roll that was not edible.
I was tired tonight so I didn’t make a big deal out of it.
I absolutely hate going to a restaurant and literally throwing away my money.

The food is super delicious, the service is perfect. They’re always on the lookout for your drink to bring you more. They serve you quickly! My youngest son, who’s 5, loves going there. The chefs create a very family-like atmosphere and make you feel very comfortable at all times.

This is the best hibachi place in Lubbock. They were so quick and the food was deliciousssss. The staff was also incredibly nice. They took care of us like family. Wonderful experience.

I ordered from this Ohana via doordash and the dasher decided to cancel the order after pickup. (Not the restaurants fault) Order was automatically resubmitted and after two and a half hours of waiting they had the new dasher call me to ask if I wanted it made and I told them yes, I’m not the one who cancelled. Another 30 minutes later and the dasher messaged saying the sushi chef was refusing to make the order and was causing a scene. Had to cancel my order after waiting 3 hours and the poor dasher waiting with me completely wasted his time. Awful. Won’t order from here again or go in person. I’ll choose a different location.
