We’ve been coming here for years and it remains one of our go-to’s. The food is always delicious and the service is fantastic! Be sure to ask about specials or some of the items that aren’t on the menu. Every time we’ve gotten something off menu it has been amazing!

I want to give a wonderful and awesome review to Camino Real Restaurant. The manager Jordan and our server Nayeli provided outstanding service and were extremely professional. The food had amazing flavor and was absolutely delicious. The entire staff was friendly, respectful, and welcoming, and the facility was very clean and well organized. Overall, an awesome place to eat—I highly recommend Camino Real and will definitely be back!

I stopped in and had lunch here today. The black bean soup was spectacular. The salsa that came with the chips was some of the best restaurant salsa I’ve had in awhile. The atmosphere and the service were also very good. I think I’m going to take my husband here for dinner tomorrow night.

I came here on a Tuesday as a party of 2 around 11:45am and we were sat immediately at a booth. I enjoyed their chips and salsa as the salsa was not too spicy. I ordered the lunch portion of the steak fajitas and a small (4oz) cheese dip. The steak was flavorful. The onions were sliced well, but I wish the bell peppers were cut a little thinner. It only came with 2 tortillas and the amount of fajitas and toppings they give you, you need more than 2 tortillas. The cheese sauce was good quality too. I do wish that the waiter stopped by a bit more often. Once we finished our meal, we did not see our waiter and were confused on how to pay. We ended up just going straight to the counter to pay. Overall though, we did enjoy our time.

Not one to write bad reviews but after giving this place many chances I have to say as a Mexican myself Im highly disappointed with this place. Chips and salsa used to be included with takeout orders now they charge for it and give you a small portion of chips as seen in the picture, they change their prices and portions often to benefit them. I also ordered “camarones al mojo de ajo” and I basically received shrimp in garlic and onion water that cost $17. Its my local mexican restaurant and Sadly I wont be returning.

My family has a great time on the patio this evening. It was our first time trying this restaurant and we were very happy. We will definitely be back. The guacamole was made at the table and probably the best I’ve ever had – so fresh! The food overall was great. The staff were so incredibly kind and very sweet to my children. I definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Taco Tuesday lunch special. Staff was attentive and fast. Food was fresh and plentiful. Meat was tender; the pork was slightly better than the beef. The 80s music, and kitsche pub style decor made me smile, remembering long past late night dinners in Mexican border towns.

This place is incredible. Everything I’ve tried here has been top notch. I regularly ordered the delicious tamales back in winter (tamale season) and they make them with banana leaves which is unique to this restaurant as most other places just have the corn husk ones. I’ve also tried their sopes, tacos, and huevos rancheros all of which are excellent. This afternoon I got the chilaquiles supremos con salsa verde and I must say these are the best chilaquiles I’ve ever eaten in my life. 5/5 on everything. Truly one of the best restaurants in Winston!
