Stopped in at Panchos Mexican Grill on Main Street during a business trip through Southbound Brook. From the outside, you would never guess what is happening in that kitchen, but the food tells a completely different story.
I started with the molletes de mole, which I had never tried before. These little guys were packed with flavor, warm, rich, and surprisingly addictive. A perfect way to kick things off if you want something truly authentic.
For the main dish, I ordered a vegetarian burrito with a side of beans and rice. Generous portions, well seasoned, and enough left over to take back to the hotel for later. No complaints there.
I did takeout since the dining area is simple and straightforward. From what I saw, takeout seems to be the main flow of business, and it makes sense because the food is definitely the highlight.
Overall, this is a solid three and a half star spot. The atmosphere is basic, but when it comes to flavor and authenticity, Panchos delivers. Sometimes the best food comes from the places you least expect, and this stop proved it.

Went back after early 13 years because my wife ad I were craving authentic Mexican tacos, this place hit the spot. They were delicious and perfect. Corn tortillas were to die for. Price not bad at all. Will definitely be back for more Tacos.

Stopped by Pancho’s in South Bound and got the asada tacos they were delicious. The meat was tender and the verde salsa was incredible. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, and the portions were generous for the price.
The prices were super reasonable and i appreciated the fact they give you more tacos with less meat on each one instead of less tacos with so much meat half of it falls out.
I’m honestly surprised I’d never been here until now, but I’m glad I finally did. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, and the owner was friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better.
Can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu. If you’re in the area and craving authentic Mexican food in South Bound, Pancho’s is absolutely worth a stop.

I visited 4/3/25. It was busy at lunchtime with one guy (Pancho?) taking orders, answering the phones, and running tickets back to the kitchen. Kind of a long wait but still worth it for the tacos al pastor. Grapefruit Jarritos for the win. #SomethingToTacoBout #TheSodaPop

It was okay. Its a quiet place and the food was fresh. The shrimp were grilled excellently but the chicken in the enchiladas were extremely dry and bland.
The cups were amazing and the service was decent. I’d come back, but I wouldn’t get the chicken again.

11.18.22 This venue has the feel of a fast food restaurant BUT the food is absolutely delicious, and the service was terrific. What a great find. We ordered a couple of aps and 2 entrees and everything was hot, flavorful, and the salsa was spicy, just how we like it. We noticed this place does a lot of take out too. And no alcohol is served here.

Best Mexican food I’ve had since moving to Jersey. Verde sauce was spicy had a good kick to it which I’ve been looking for since I’ve moved here. The birra tacos were 5star quality and you get what you pay for.the portion of food to money ratio is what this world is missing I didn’t feel like I got robbed for a meal. If you are in the area this is a great place to eat.

The burrito was big came with homemade chips, the quesadia was massive enough for 2 servings 4 pieces came in the container and the flan was so good. Get all of the above especially the flan. So tasty my first time there. Definitely going back.
