I was really well looked after. The parking lot is quite large and the food tasted like the chef had made it to serve his family. The food was really good. It’s rare to find a place like this that has such good quality and the place is so simple and so welcoming.

This place has seen better days. The service is still good. Employees are friendly. The food leaves a lot to be desired. Wings are good, fried chicken isn’t bad, lemon pepper chicken was dry and bland, and their meatballs may be the worst I’ve ever had. Whoever handles their social media accounts needs a little work on their professionalism. I won’t be back here for a while.

Tonight (Saturday, Dec. 20), my husband and I tried another old-school, family-owned, local hangout-type restaurant called Wadhurst in Peabody, and it was busy but very uninteresting. The holiday decor was lame, lighting was so bright, the bartender was nice but extremely busy-didn’t have time to chit-chat, and the ceiling vent above us (we sat at the bar) was caked with dust; it was disgusting. The potato skins and Buffalo tenders appetizers were delicious, plentiful, and affordable. So were their specialty drinks. But overall, it’s one and done for me. I’m glad I tried it, but it totally lacked appeal, and I highly doubt I’ll dine here again.

Fries come unsalted, and prices are a bit high, but the quality otherwise is amazing! Service was great, my burger bomb was perfectly rare, my husband’s Wardhurst Alfredo was so good. Most of the food came out hot, fresh, and delicious. Again, the exception was the house cut fries. They were completely unseasoned and only lukewarm.

I went here based on the great reviews I have seen online and from friends. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. No issues there. There were 3 of us. We ordered a sampler as an appetizer – the cheese sticks were wonderful; crunchy outside,gooey inside. The steak and cheese rolls were kind of bland but the steak was nice and tender.I did not like the potato skins at all – they were dry and somewhat flavorless. The chicken wings ,I was told were a bit spicy(barbeque flavor) but okay. The bread rolls were very tasty and fresh and one person in our party needed a 2nd bowl of seasoned oil for dipping – she loved it so much.The fish and chips were very fresh and the onion rings tasty and not greasy at all.I had spinach pie that I thought was wonderful and butternut squash which was delicious. The cheeseburger was cooked as asked- medium well and juicy. Overall, the portions were large and we had 3 boxes of leftovers for loved ones at home.

Take out was absolutely fabulous. They habe they best spinach pie, grape leaves, and side of butternut squash. Sit at the bar. The bartenders are the best!
