My husband ordered the chicken Pho with beef broth. I tried his broth like I always do, and the broth was pretty flavorable without adding anything extra to it (ie: hoison, sirrarcha, etc).
I ordered the crispy fried egg noodles since I was craving for it, and they had it here. This dish was okay. The sauce didn’t really have much flavor so it made the whole thing mediocre.
The boba was good. On their website, I saw that they had durian flavor boba, but I guess they took it off the menu. It was disappointing but I got the passion milk tea, and it was good. My husband got blueberry.
Tonight I decided to visit a new restaurant in Valdosta for Pho. I haven’t been feeling the best and wanted some nutrient rich food to try to knock the sinuses back into order. We decided to drive 55 minutes to this restaurant. Madison did not want pho so we decided grab her some McDonald’s, take it to the pho place and I would order food to eat at the Vietnamese restaurant to dine in. Mind you, the Pho that I eat contains RAW meat which needs to be fully cooked for me to be able to consume (Im pregnant). As soon as we walk in there is no hostess, someone comes from the register to seat us. unlike normal Pho places its seat yourself. We sit down and about four minutes later a young girl comes to the table to take my drink order. I told her coke and she said are you ready to order I said yes maam. So I told her I wanted p1. Combination Pho.
So immediately after ordering (and I literally mean immediately) i walk to go to the restroom because after an hour drive my eyes are about to buldge out of my head. I see a sign that says “all restrooms are out of order” I automatically think I need to cancel my order and go somewhere else cause I need to use the restroom. Within a minute I got a waitress to come to the table and told her that I needed to cancel my order. I explained to her that it had NOTHING to do with them but unfortunately I need to use the bathroom because I’m pregnant and drove an hour and I cannot sit and be comfortable to eat food feeling the way I do. She grabs my waitress and I explain the same thing. At this point she’s already placed the soda on the table. I told her I would be happy to pay for that but I need to cancel the food. She told me she couldn’t do that because they were already making my food. Now here is where it gets crazy. She gave me two options: take my food to go: which I did not want to drive an hour back home with pho (for some reason it doesnt reheat correctly) and i explained that to the woman. Or pay for my food and they would give it to someone else… (first off… when did I become charity???) I’m frustrated so I told her just let me take it to go. So when the food comes I have to use the bathroom BAD. I asked her if there is hoisin and siracha she said yes. I checked and there was one a piece. I told her I would need more and told her thanks. We left.
So, I told Madison we would go to the gas station and use the bathroom. We found the quick trip down the road, used the restroom, and decided to use their parking lot to eat dinner in the car.
As you can see in the photo the broth had already cooled down a little bit to where it took a minute for the meat to cook. So as I start eating, I find Tripe. Not only do I find tripe there are cartilage pieces and weird fatty pieces inside my pho. Shown in the picture. The drink shows you what they gave me for a coke. They worked so hard on the building they forgot to budget for coke machines. The Pho broth was displeasing as well. It wasnt rich in flavor like I am used to.
This whole situation could have been handled better with a little compassion.
Honestly, I will never never go back. I will drive the hour and thirty minutes to go to Tallahassee to get my pho from now on.
All the staff were really friendly and attentive despite how busy it was and the fact they just opened☀️ I’m so excited for them to have boba in the future!!
We tried Saigon Corner for the first time and I’m already planning my next visit. The food was absolutely incredible — fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. Every dish had that perfect balance of sweet, savory, and spice that makes Vietnamese cuisine so special.
The portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful.
The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt cozy and inviting. You can tell they truly care about the food and the customer experience.
So excited to have a spot like this in town. If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Vietnamese food, Saigon Corner is a must-try!
