Historical building with lots of character in downtown Laurel. Variety menu with breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Menu is vegan friendly. Plenty of seating downstairs and upstairs with open seating and small books tucked away. There is a cabinet full of board games to meet up and play with friends. Art display with a mix of new art and historical photos of the town. Great mix with good vibes. Food is great, coffees, lattes and more. If you are visitor to the city, it’s a great stop while visiting the Laurel area. If you are local, it’s a neat place to meet with friends.

Just went to Lee’s and ordered my wife a London Fog. Simple drink, just steamed milk, foam, earl gray or some English breakfast tea. What we
got was tea, with milk. I tried to let the person know it wasn’t correct and they said it was. Not feeling like I wanted to argue I threw it in the trash and went elsewhere. I used to really like this place but lately it has gone downhill. Not sure what is happening there but there are other places I can spend my money.

Yes the drink I received was hot tea with milk. The milk was not steamed there was no foam, it looked like normal tea with milk would look like. Not like the Earl Gray Latte, or London Fog. I have made these drinks before and know what they look like, this was not it. We have also had occasion to have a drink not come out right. But at those times, when I bring it to their attention they attempt to make it right. This time I was told it was right and no effort at all was made to make it better. So with that in mind I threw the drink out and we left.
Elaborating on the ‘going down hill’ We have been coming here since 2023, since we moved to Laurel. I understand turn over, but during that time I have seen the baked goods change drastically. The last cinnamon roll I had from there did not taste good at all. It tasted like it was a frozen roll, that was heated up and baked. Not what I am used to at all. The last time I tried a muffin it was very similar. I understand a while back you had lost the baker and had to find another, but this is a part of the place which I refer to. Other things appear to have changed, like the crust less quiche, I used to get that almost every time I visited, but now the taste is different, not at all like it used to be. I know things change, I can understand that, but I think the main reason for this statement was the customer service. I am not unreasonable, I can understand people having a bad day or whatever, but when someone comes to you saying this doesn’t look right you do not expect them to say it is and have done with it.
Here is an update from February 2026, and it still looks like a London Fog or Earl Gray Latte is still a bit out of reach for these folks. And I ordered a Chocolate Cream and I almost got a chiller by mistake. I’m glad I asked before I took it from the counter.
And my last entry for this establishment. Just went there today, asked if they knew how to make a latte, Jacob said he did. So then I asked if he knew how to make a London Fog. He said yes, and that the ‘English way’ of making a London Fog is not a latte. I guess I don’t know what my wife has been drinking for the last 10 years, or at least what it is supposed to be. Strange thing is Manuscript coffee across the street knows exactly how to make a London Fog the way she likes it. I guess that is where we are going from now on.

From 2015 to 2019 I had lunch at Lee’s once sometimes twice a week. I recently went back and the food and the service was disappointing. I switched up and ordered hummus. It was watery and not smooth. Some of the bread was soggy, some was crunchy, some tasted stale. And it was such a small amount for $10. I was disappointed. I should’ve stuck to what I know. The service makes me not want to go back, not even for coffee. They have some of the best coffee, when prepared properly, since small coffee left town.

As a young woman in my early 20’s I have never felt so comfortable and welcomed at a coffee restaurant. First off the young men that greeted me when I walked in were so polite and well mannered. They made ordering for my first time there so effortless. The building was so clean and very spacious, amazing sitting area. The food was spot on, the fruit was fresh and the coffee was amazing, not too sweet either. 10 out of 10 recommend

Had the opportunity to visit here while my friends and I were in town. We went for brunch. I got an omelette with a blended coffee drink and also had their bread pudding a little bit later in the day. All were absolutely delicious. The staff were some of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. There is plenty of seating with an upstairs area available and they’ve got a game cabinet if you’re looking to play a board/card game. Was a great experience and I definitely recommend a stop in here if you’re close by!

We stopped in at Lee’s Coffee &Tea for lunch while visiting Laurel. We were warmly greeted by a staff member who answered our questions and took our order. My wife and I had chicken salad sandwich and a cup of loaded potato soup. The sandwich contained classic chicken salad, featuring red grapes and a hint of pepper, served inside a flakey croissant. It was very tasty. The soup was very hearty with lots of big chunks of potatoes in a comforting broth. It was very potato-forward, so it may not please those preferring a brothier soup. The soup was topped with bacon and cheddar cheese. It was the perfect accompaniment to our sandwich. The iced tea was crisp, clean and delicious. I completed the meal with a cup of coffee that was smooth and satisfying. The atmosphere is very comfortable with plenty of seating areas upstairs and downstairs. The bathrooms were well stocked and clean. If you are looking for a nice spot to enjoy an unrushed lunch in Laurel, this place fits the bill!

One of the only spots open “early” in Laurel. If you want to grab and go, this isn’t the place. This is a sit-down, eat and relax spot. Was 30 minutes for my husband’s breakfast sandwich to come out. His wasn’t warm by the time mine came out. But, mine was piping hot. Ha! Sooo… get an omlette, I guess? Maybe they were training?
You order up front, seat yourself, and they bring the food to you. They greet you when you come in. I think a brief explanation when you say “it’s my first time” might be more helpful, but they weren’t rude at all. They were patient.
I wiped the napkin dispenser at our table down… it was dusty and dirty. That one in the back needs attention, too. It may just be they hadn’t gotten to wipe down the tables yet when we sat down, but that was off-putting, so we switched tables.

Healing Earth Ceramics
We stopped in for breakfast on Sunday morning. Enjoyed a nice breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel, cappuccino, gooey bar, chai tea latte and a blueberry muffin. Staff was friendly and service was good. Nice environment in the historic downtown area. Clean, quiet and a nice menu to select from. Give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.
