I’m still thinking about this delicious dinner. Everything from the bao bun to the ramen to the matcha pudding was unique, flavorful, and fresh. There’s nothing like a multi-course meal where you love every single dish. Even the service was impeccable and they were super attentive. A standout here are the honeycomb booths which you can reserve and I highly recommend you do for an authentic Japanese meal experience. That’s what you’re going to get at Kyuramen (they’re national!! so check out if they’re in your area).

Sitting in one of the honeycombs for date night was quite the experience! We started off with some of the Korean bbq chicken wings, those were great. We also shared an omurice for the first time. It was filling even with sharing. I ordered the Sapporo miso ramen, it was good I just wish the broth was more flavorful. My boyfriend ordered the chicken Shoyu ramen. He liked it and agrees that he’s has more flavorful ramen elsewhere. I definitely would come back and try some of the other ramens in the future. They did have seasonings on the table so maybe we’ll explore that next time too.

Our experience was amazing, the food was forgettable. For the price we paid ($70 for two), I would not return. However, our server was phenomenal and the atmosphere of the restaurant was unique and refreshing.

Food:
Extremely bland food that leaves you wanting more. The ramen recommended to us tasted like it was missing seasonings and the rice for the omurice was overcooked, dry, and flavorless. The demi-glaze sauce was the only saving grace for the dish, but it overpowered what should have been a simple, yet cohesive dish. The curry sauce tasted like it was a Golden or Java brand boxed curry, which is not terrible, but I expected more for $20. The only saving grace was the fried gyoza we ordered for an appetizer.

If you do go, bring your own seasonings (the only seasonings on your table are seven spice, cayenne, and sauerkraut chilis). No soy sauce/salt/pepper/etc. are available.

Honestly, I really came here to see the decor and design of the restaurant. A portion of the booths are tucked away into these cute honeycomb like structures. We didn’t get to sit in one of them, so that was a bummer. We ordered the omelette over fried rice and poured the curry sauce over it. That was the best thing we ate there. The cucumbers were good and spicy; however, we didn’t like the ramen. I’m not sure what it was, but I couldn’t enjoy the broth. I can’t put my finger on it exactly. Other than that, the omelette was delicious, and I know there are several other items on the menu that looked so good. I would return for the omelette and to try some other items on the menu.

This was my fourth visit, and honestly the quality wasn’t the same as before. The ramen was still delicious, but the new Crispy Chicken didn’t look like the picture, wasn’t crispy, and tasted a bit too salty. The Rice Burger also wasn’t as good as before – it was soft this time, while on my previous visit it had a nice light crisp. I still like this place because they offer both food and drinks, but unfortunately this visit didn’t meet my expectations.
And their staff are friendly ❤️

My brother recommended this place so we decided to try it and it was in fact worth the drive. Everything about Kyuramen was just wow. The atmosphere was amazing, the food was good, the overall experience was great! I’m giving 4 Stars because they wouldn’t let us sit in the honey comb area but allowed everyone that came after us to? We will definitely be back to try more menu items and hopefully get to sit in the honey comb.

I had the #6 spicy and wife had the #9 chicken ramen. both were good, not knock you out great but good. the service was friendly and efficient. honeycomb seating is unique but not comfortable by any means, sit at a table if you like back support.

Kyuramen x TBaar absolutely delivered on all the hype – this place is a must-visit for ramen lovers in OKC. We tried bowls #2 and #6, and both were phenomenal with rich, flavorful broths that you could tell had been simmering for hours, perfectly chewy noodles, and generous toppings including melt-in-your-mouth chashu pork, sweet corn, and those Instagram-worthy soft-boiled eggs with the perfect jammy yolk. The presentation alone makes you excited to dig in, with everything beautifully arranged in their signature black bowls, but the taste is what really seals the deal – complex, layered flavors that warm you from the inside out. At $20-30 per bowl it’s not the cheapest meal around, but you’re getting authentic, quality ramen that rivals what you’d find in much larger cities, and the portions are hefty enough to leave you completely satisfied. Here’s a fun surprise – when you finish your bowl, there’s a message waiting at the bottom; mine said “DRINK” which scored me a free drink coupon for my next visit, while my dining partner’s bowl had “thank you” written in Japanese, adding a delightful interactive element to the meal. No wonder this place maintains a 4.5-star rating with nearly 600 reviews – they’ve truly mastered the art of ramen, bringing a legitimate taste of Japan to Oklahoma City with thoughtful touches that make the experience memorable.

This is the best Japanese food that I’ve had in the United States. The service was incredible. The atmosphere was excellent. The food truly made me feel like I went through a portal and arrived in Tokyo. Every little detail of the food was delicious and the way that the server performed the final food prep at the table was truly a work of art. Kyuramen Team, we appreciate you!

The beef and chicken ramen were flavorful . The noodles seemed standard. They have a good drink selection. Got the hot sake and it was very good and warming.
