The food here was exceptional. For a small restaurant, the atmosphere and service is just what you want and the food tops it’s all. We had a selection of small plates and there were no issues with any of them. Flavours were incredible and the sashimi melted in your mouth, I’ve not had seafood in city that tasted that fresh for years….the flavour profile of every dish exceeded expectations. We will definitely be returning to try more of the menu

The lunch menu is the highlight! The portion is big and everything is fresh! The service is attentive and the staffs are friendly.
I ordered a Tendon which is a variety of Tempura with rice. The tempura dough is thin enough so that the whole dish isn’t too heavy. It could be crispier but it’s good enough for such a price (£10.5 for lunch). You can also get an appetiser and dessert for £5 more. The gyozas are homemade with fresh shrimp, super crunchy and juicy. The dessert, deep fried bananas with ice cream gives me an interesting sensation of hot and cold. All of these make me too full and I need some green tea for digestion:)
The atmosphere is cool with Jazz music in the background. I am in a cozy and relaxing escape place away from the busy city. Highly recommend this little gem!

I had such a wonderful experience at Yuzu. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, and you can truly feel the love and care that goes into every single dish. Each plate was thoughtfully prepared and presented, making the whole meal feel special.
The staff were incredibly calming and friendly, creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere from start to finish. One of the chefs even came out to say goodbye, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch.
I’ll definitely be back to support this amazing place. It’s clear they pour their heart into what they do.

The Hampshire Tonkatsu Set from today’s specials is a must-try. Crispy, golden panko crust, and the juiciest, most tender pork inside—absolute perfection. The accompanying miso soup was delicious and balanced the dish perfectly.
Also great atmosphere and friendly service. Easily the best tonkatsu I’ve had in the city. Will be returning!

Nice quiet spot serving lovely food. Restaurant was quiet on a Tuesday night so a good volume for talking. Staff were lovely and attentive and the food came quickly.
There were several vegetarian options but the miso soup that comes with them is not vegetarian – if you ask the staff will happily replace them with an alternative.

This is the 3rd time I’ve been here. The food is amazing, authentic Japanese. Theres a great selection but I couldn’t resist my favourite today, the chicken terryaki set. Chicken, rice, miso soup and pickles. My daughter had the salmon terryaki set and said it was delicious. I thoroughly recommed coming here.

Japanese food is my comfort food. The food is great, especially the miso soup tastes like the same as that in Japan. The prawns in tendon are fresh and I like the teriyaki sauce of the chicken. I will definitely come here again.

Service was fantastic and quick. The salmon was lovely and fatty, and the roe was fresh. Pork was incredibly crispy and the tonkotsu sauce had a great sharpness to it. Will likely come again next time we’re in Manchester!
