Eagle Inn was great!!! The burgers were amazing! I enjoyed my meal. The lemonade was hitting too, lol
The owner came by our table and said hello, that was so nice
It’s definitely a family friendly spot . Come with the homies, the kids, the family, everybody, lol
I’d love to try out something else off their menu when I go back, but that burger was tea!!!!
The service was great too, I don’t remember the lady that served us but she was so nice

We stopped on a whim on our way home due to the reviews. It is a family friendly old town feel. We had great food and service. Homemade, fresh and hot. It was a just what we needed. Glad we took a chance jumping off the highway driving down a dark road and entering a dark parking lot. Stop you’ll enjoy it.

I wish I could give this place 6 stars! We found this hidden gem off of 96 on our way to visit family last Monday. Lunch was great and the service was excellent! We couldn’t believe how busy this place was for lunch on a Monday. Everything was perfect and our server (Steph?) was great! We’ve had some bad dining experiences since Covid, so it was refreshing to have a server who was so on top of everything. We also couldn’t believe how fast we got our food and everything! She suggested the wet burrito so I tried that and my husband had a burger. Yum!
I wish we lived closer but we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area!

Apparently, I have been blocked from making any other reviews for Eagle Inn so I am using the edit feature from a previous review.
My wife and I went to the Eagle Inn because we always enjoy their thin crust pizzas. We ordered gizzards as an appetizer (which were great as always) and they were brought out quickly even though they were very busy on Labor day weekend.
Our pizza was brought out quickly as well. It was excellent, great crust, plenty of ingredients, and sauce.
Kristen, our waitress, was exceptional. All the wait staff seemed to be working hard at providing great service to a very busy place. The cook staff must have been working hard too!
It’s unfortunate that I have been blocked from writing honest reviews for the Eagle Inn, but no other eating establishments. I thought reviews were helpful to potential customers and, for the owner to be made aware of areas where some improvements may be beneficial for their business.

Usually, the food is pretty good, gizzards, chicken wings, burgers, sandwiches, etc. I had the Thursday night steak special. I used to enjoy this special . I’ve probably had 50 Thursday night steak over many years and had only 2 or 3 bad steaks. They use to offer American fried potatoes which were great with their steak. The manager, however, decided to remove them as an option. Now you can only get fries or an old, overcooked brown baked potato that looks like it has been in a roaster for 12+hours.
I tried this same steak special 2-3 years ago and had the same experience, tough, chewy steak and an old, brown baked potato. I thought I would give it a try again, but it was the same result, chewy steak, even med rare, and an old, brown baked potato.
I know I’m not at an upscale steak house, but I would still expect a white fluffy baked potato and decent steak for $16-17, potatoes are not that expensive. Either the manager is unaware of this sub standard meal or just doesn’t care. I can’t be the only person that has experienced these old, brown baked potatoes twice in a 2-3 year period.
The service was slow, but the waitress looked like she was the only waitress for the entire bar, so I won’t fault her for that. Again, I see this as a management issue to have adequate staffing. They should know that Thursday nights are busy. If a waitress doesn’t show up, call someone else in or help out yourself.
Eagle Inn has been a great restaurant/bar for over 50 years. They still draw a lot of patrons, but I have noticed a decline in food options, quality, and attention to detail in the last 10 years or so.

We stopped for supper on our way back from Detroit, I had a cheese burger and Fries. They were delicious! The waitress was very friendly and very informative. Will definitely go back the next time we have to go to Detroit.

Second time coming here. Really good food. Tried the loaded potato skins. Very good

On our second visit, a Thursday night. With a steady crowd not heavy, we received unsatisfactory service. Food arrived in a very reasonable amount of time and was good. It was the time period after getting our to go boxes was the problem. A 15min wait is unreasonable, had to ask another employee to cash us out.

Went during a busy time but, great food with decent service. The waitress was standoffish at first. She warmed up after a bit.
It took a bit for our food to come out. It came out hot and very tasty.
The atmosphere was busy and a bit noisy but, we could still talk to each other. I would definitely go back for another round.

Pretty reliable for great food. The last few times we have gotten carryout and they are a bit annoying in that they will say it’s going to be 30 minutes then text you in 10 minutes to say that it’s all done. So the food isn’t always fresh hot when you get it and if it’s a sandwich your bread will have gotten a bit soggy. That’s certainly an issue for all carry out but I sure wish they wouldn’t make it worse by being so awful witj on their predictions. Absolutely will continue going there, again the food is great, i just keep ignoring their estimates and going earlier and earlier. One of these times I will get it right!

every time i go here I order the same thing even though i say I am going to order something else next time i go. The eagle balls are yummy and i can’t say enough about the Philly steak grinder as it is my most favorite sandwich anywhere. The all you can eat fish on Fridays is definitely worth the deal.

Have only been here twice. It’s my new spot on the way to and from Grand Rapids to Toledo, OH. Both times, two different waitresses, the staff were friendly and efficient. Food… awesome. The Rueben and French Onion were .
