Visited this great new place on their soft launch day and ordered a few non-veg items to go from their limited menu.
1) Chicken 65 was excellent—crispy, flavorful, and not overly oily or loaded with masala like Desi Bites. Definitely authentic South-Indian style. The portion size felt a bit on the smaller side for the price, but the quality clearly stood out.
2) Chicken ghee roast was also very delicious and well prepared.
3) Chicken dum biryani had a good quantity and tasted great.
Hoping they maintain this consistency going forward. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to try the veg items as they had already run out.
The grocery section is quite spacious and bright, with fresh vegetables. Had a chance to speak with one of the owners, Hari—very welcoming and clearly focused on customer service.
All in all, a successful soft launch for sure. They’re here to stay. Great location right on the border of West Des Moines and Waukee. Pretty sure Konark/Desi Bites just lost most of its Waukee customers .

Just tried this new spot that opened near my house and honestly one of the most unique desi food experiences I’ve had in Iowa. The mixed grill was packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and cooked beautifully. Every bite tasted fresh, smoky, and authentic, and you can tell real care goes into the food.
The variety of flavors on one platter made it stand out from the juicy grilled meats to the fresh chutneys and spices that really brought everything together. It’s rare to find this level of authentic South Asian taste here, and this place truly feels one-of-a-kind for the area.

First of all, can I say how amazing it is that this place is actually open past 9 PM!! We definitely need something like this in Waukee.. Super convenient, perfect parking, clean environment, and has everything you need from fresh Indian groceries to all the spices you can think of. Went in for a freshman ended up buying half the store and some Haleem from the kitchen.. Authentic flavor, beautiful presentation, and just straight up delicious. This place is definitely is a go. So happy you’re here in Waukee .

Let me just say the Food is amazing and trust me am a very picky eater when it comes to restaurants and Indian Food I have been to lots of our local Indian restaurants but this is by far my favorite I can’t wait to try the rest of food menu items…..came in with my family so welcoming love this new spot.
