This was an amazing date night for me and my wife! We went in and were immediately seated. Their menu was great. We had a steaks with baked potatoes and salads. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our glasses were never empty, and we never felt ignored while we ate. After we ate dinner, we had their bread pudding for dessert. The meal was awesome and the dessert was amazing. I’m already ready to go back!

While on our way through we stopped on Sunday and had the lunch buffet. It was some of the best food. The fried chicken was very moist and had a great taste. The green beans were sweet and the squash was great. If you are able to eat here I wouldn’t pass it up.

Eh! I’m super late on writing this review but I keep thinking about how my last visit here was the worst birthday meal I’ve ever had. This used to be the place to be….like 10 years ago. Cow Pen was great with a lot of things, hot tamales, Mexican food, seafood, steaks! You couldn’t go wrong. I had no problem waiting an hour for a table here, but that’s no longer the case. My party of 5 all started with the salad bar. The salad bowls were old looking and I questioned their cleanliness. The salad offerings were basic, total waste of money. Out of 5 entrees, only 1 person liked their food. The entire experience was disappointing and I don’t see myself ever returning. Thanks Cow Pen for single handedly ruining my birthday.

Ate dinner at restaurant, 5/12 , was treated by friend. Had 12 oz. Steak. It was awful, fat and grizzle. Embarrassed to complain as , but would not recommend any one to try. Shame as I was a guest of one who took me, was not ever asked how steak was. Sad used to have great steaks.
