The food is authentic. The ambiance is welcoming and our server Amber was FANTASTIC! Ferdi, the owner stopped at our table to welcome us and be sure our experience was what we were expecting. The entire meal and friendliness will definitely bring us back!! Thank you for an exceptional dinner!!

We happened upon Maria’s while driving home from Chicago, and it had a lot of great reviews. Very clean exterior and classy interior. White tablecloths and very well lit. Our hostess was prompt and polite, and our waitress was attentive and answered our questions. The only issues we had were with a few dishes, and that really takes away from the positive aspects as the main reason to visit a restaurant is for the food. The concept of the fresh bread with olive oil and parm is ingrained in the dining experience, but tonight, the bread was a let down. Very hard and unpleasant. The side salad was served with a small amount of standing water in the bottom of the dish (not sure about you but that is quite unappealing). The firecracker shrimp were awesome. A little heavy of the sauce. But overall 7/10. The kids had the grilled cheese, and it was a huge hit. Cheesy and crispy make for a great sandwich. The lasagna was a solid 7.5/10, probably an 8 on a normal day. The Philly steak sandwich was visually very appealing, but the meat proved inedible. It slightly resembled shoe leather. Our waitress had them make a new sandwich, and the wife went with the chicken sandwich. It was much better.

We hosted our wedding reception in the main restaurant area..and it was perfect!!! (85 Head Count + We had a DJ!)
First, I want to give a huge shoutout to Ferdi and our amazing banquet coordinator Marilyn, as well as her stand-in, Tina.
The entire staff was some of the most down-to-earth, sweet, and genuinely personable people I’ve ever met. Ferdi was professional, prompt, and so friendly. Marilyn went above and beyond to make sure our reception was exactly what I dreamed of, and Tina made sure I felt heard and supported every step of the way.
Thanks to them, everything went incredibly smoothly. I felt zero panic in the days leading up to our reception because Marilyn stayed in constant communication. I truly trusted everyone involved, and I can’t express how grateful I am for the care and dedication they showed us.
The reception itself was magical. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful, intimate, and romantic the atmosphere was. Our guest LOVED their food and pizza (perhaps one would even say it’s better than Manny’s pizza [inside joke] )
If you want great food, an amazing vibe, and a team that actually cares, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

We stopped by Maria’s today spur of the moment. We were a party of 12 with no reservations. Tina very kindly seated us and let us know she was the only server today but that she would do her best. She absolutely did her best! She had 3 other tables when we arrived. She answered questions, made sure we had our drinks and took our order promptly. We ordered 5 different pizzas. They arrived without an extended wait time and were delicious! Tina had other customers come in while we were there and she took care of all of us in a very efficient manner. All 12 of us were very happy with our service and food.
On a previous occasion we had a party of 30 people booked to go to another establishment and we found out the day before we could no longer have our party at that establishment. I called Maria’s and in 1 day they agreed to host our party and did a fantastic job. Tina was the server that took charge that day as well. I sadly neglected to leave review after that occasion but wanted to make mention of it today.
We highly recommend Maria’s ( and Tina as a server ) for any occasion you might have. We’ve been on other occasions and were not disappointed but I don’t remember to leave a review and wanted to make sure to let them know what a great job they are doing.

Maria’s is such a gem in Morris! The bar area is modern, inviting, and perfectly stocked with anything you could want. The food is consistently outstanding , fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served. What truly sets this place apart is the owner, who is not only dedicated to creating a great dining experience, but is also a strong supporter of the community. You can really feel the pride and passion behind this business. Highly recommend!

I recently visited Maria’s Pizzeria and had one of the best meals in a while. The grandma-style pizza was amazing—crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and perfect tomato sauce. The surf and turf was the real standout, though. The steak was tender, and the lobster was perfectly cooked.
Service was great, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Highly recommend Maria’s if you’re in the area—you won’t be disappointed!

Restaurant is having an identity crisis. Italian villa on one side and speakeasy by the bathrooms. The bread and fries were great but I ordered a ribeye and it.was.not.cow. I have no idea what it was and am afraid to know. It was gamey, a dark color and tough. Each bite told me I was going to feel sick later.
