A hidden gem!
This place blew me away from the moment I walked in. The vibe is the perfect balance of cozy and classy—you can tell it’s run with pride and passion.
The food was on another level. Every dish was fresh, full of flavor, and seasoned perfectly. You can taste the love in the cooking, and the portions leave you satisfied without feeling overstuffed. The drinks were just as impressive—craft cocktails that are strong, smooth, and mixed with real attention to detail. Whether you’re into classics or something creative, the bar has you covered.

This was my third time here and I can’t wait to keep coming back!! Mamajuana’s service is top-tier. You’re never left waiting and staff are very nice and accommodating. The food is phenomenal!! I loved my chicken cordon Bleu entree which was cooked to perfection and topped with a wonderfully creamy sauce sitting on a bed of mashed yucca. Chef’s Kiss. But this didn’t mean that I didn’t also want to eat my husband’s meal which was grouper fish in a divine red sauce. Fish cooked to bring out it’s natural flavor making sure it’s sooo buttery and soft The drinks and shots are always mixed well so it was a great compliment to the meal. Vibes are immaculate!!

came here with my mom and sister and had the absolute best experience. the food was amazing and tasted great. we had a few appetizers and tried a variety of things for entrées. what helped the experience was our server Anthony. he was so accommodating!! he was always right there when we needed him and was able to easily answer all of our questions. my mom is extremely picky and he was so helpful and made great recommendations. I will ask for him every time I come here.

Beautiful restaurant! Indoor, mid-door, and outdoor dining options. The server was friendly. The meals were made fast and presented very nicely. The portions are just the right size, fresh, and delicious. The drinks from the bar were perfect and tasty.

I’ve been there several times and I think it’s probably the best food in the area. The owner is very congenial and customer service is excellent. The food is very tasty and well cooked and the alcoholic drinks are very tasty.
The owner unlike many others who goes out of his way to greet his customers and they take conclusive the steps to sanitize the restaurant.
Customer service is excellent especially Genesis.
I recommend it very very highly and had I not been to five star restaurants around the world I would get this place five stars. And if you haven’t been there you are missing something.
But $5 for coffee that’s outrageous

Nice looking place, food is delicious though price a bit high. We had a nice waiter but he misunderstood when we asked him to wrap up the left over, he threw it away. He apologized and its all good. When the bill came I was surprised they already added the tip. Good thing I noticed, because it’s rare to see a place added the tip like that for party of 3. If I didn’t notice, I could ended up paying 40% tip. Don’t like this type of practice but I guess I just have to always check.

This place was beyond my expectation. I’m thinking just another Spanish restaurant in Lawrence. My favorite part is it had its own parking lot that is free. I didn’t have to park 2 to 3 blocks away and walk like I do with every other restaurant downtown. Beautiful outdoor seating and beautiful furniture décor inside. I walked in and I was completely taken aback. And… the food was amazing!!! My friends and I all shared our dishes so we can try different things. The churasco was okay a little salty but not over powering. But…. thier Mamajuana Seafood Mofongo that’s to die for. It was such a wonderful experience eating it. Every bite was a surprise, the flavor was perfectly put together. I can’t wait to go back again just to have that dish. The price is a bit up the but that’s pretty much everywhere now with inflation. Hope you enjoy it maybe I’ll see you there!

The location is perfect. Great decor. Options for seating such as where the DJ is very noisy or music too loud for my taste, or an enclosed area where you have a view of the main room minus the noise, and outside a well spacious patio. I wasn’t impressed with the food. My companions, two of them, asked for quesadilla. They were okay, and both only ate two pieces. They also complained about the guacamole, such as having an “old” taste. Another person asked for Chicharrones de Pollo. It lacks flavor. Another person asked for Mofonguitos rellenos, well they are tostones rellenos. They were too dry to the point of hurting the mouth. However, the presentation was amazing on all the plates. Again, the ambiance is excellent, and the place is cleaned, spotless, and has great decor.

Our servers Anthony made us the happiest. He was so courteous, and very informative of the menu and the best suggestions for lunch order. He was there for every single step of the way. Anthony guide us as to our drink menu… so definitely give that Coconut Mojito as Try!!!!
And of course don’t forget that Tres Leches for Desserts.

Food was good but half of the table’s meal was cold and the other half scalding hot. It’s like they cooked the first 2 meals then let them sit for 30 minutes before bringing them out. Worst part was that the lobster was $60 and extremely cold, and it was for my mother… on mother’s day. We told them several times that her food especially was cold but no apologies, no acknowledgement. That plus the fact it took over 1 hr to order our entrees and 2 hrs since sitting down to get food, and they forgot one of our appetizers meant mom’s day was a bit ruined. I get that they were busy but a lot of their issues stem from inefficiencies. They need to review how they operate and fix these inefficiencies asap. Our waiter was nice but mostly MIA. I had to flag 2 other waiters for a drink after waiting for over an hr for my refill. I saw him chatting in the parking lot with some of the guests. Yeah…. I don’t think I’ll return any time soon. It’s a shame because the food is good.
