4.5 rating overall! This was good BBQ, do not dismiss that! I deducted a few points based on my personal preference. Firstly, staff was beyond kind and gave great details on the different cuts of meat offered and sides. Pricing was very reasonable as my husband and I spent just under $50 for a variety of food. My beef ribs very tender but still kept it’s form while on the bone. Flavor wise, it was solid! Not too smokey with a nice punch of black pepper. There might have been some paprika in the rub (not sure) that did add an artificial smokiness that I was not the fondest of, but still didnt mind. Turkey was extremely juicy, again not too smokey, and had great flavor. Brisket was tender with a nice pull, good bark, and not over smoked (there’s a theme- I’m not crazy about overly smoked meats). The sausage was solid, only down (barely at that) was that it was not made in-house and is out-sourced. The BBQ sauce was a nice addition to any piece of meat as it was not thick and a bit runny, which I prefer. The sauce was tangy with a smidge of sweetness, literally a perfect combo. The Cowboy beans were my husband’s favorite but not so much mine. The beans are very unique with an abundance of meat melted in within the beans. He said it reminded him of chili, which I’m not crazy about. I prefer the flavor of beans over meat. Mac was solid but leaned more on a nacho cheese consistently. The mash, oh the mash! How could I forget?! It was so buttery. I literally inhaled it. 10/10! I believe they said the mash is also used for their loaded papas (potatoes are cooked on the pit and peeled, using only the inside for the papa). The potato salad was lacking in salt and a tad of mustard but not horrible. Do note that they close by 4pm, so try to swing by during your lunch break. It was extremely fast and helpful service. Definitely not a place to pass up in ever in Donna!

I didn’t get a chance to try any of the other food but my review is going based off of what I did have. I had the stuffed baked potato. The food was good I do have some suggestions though the first one being the utensils, the quality of the utensils was poor. Every time I’d scoop my spoon would bend. Second the bbq sauce was eehh.. it was watery and it taste more like tomato sauce. Third, I had the iced tea, it had no flavor and it tasted watered down but not with good water it had a tap water flavor a little earthy. Other than that the service was good and the food did the job. Looking forward to trying other stuff.

Jerry and Ana are great! Friendly, courteous, and great to talk with. The food is awesome. We have been here a couple of times for breakfast tacos and lunch as well. Never disappointed. I highly recommend Big Porky’s BBQ. They have smoked pork, chicken, turkey, ribs, Dino ribs and of course Texas brisket. Fresh flour tortillas, Brisket and egg tacos are delicious. All of their sides are great too. Best in my hometown, Donna, Texas. I Love supporting small businesses.

Loved it! Some of the best BBQ in the Valley. I ordered the beef ribs and brisket, and my wife got the half chicken and pork ribs, and let me tell you, it’s some of the best bbq I’ve ever had. Owners were friendly and attended us right away. Will visit again for sure…

I came here since the place I wanted to try was closed. We got to this place and it was a little tight. Food came out super fast. Fries were piping hot but the brisket sandwich was not. I’ve never been here before so it was just ok. Sandwich was big but lacked meat. It was good but didn’t have enough bbq and flavor on the sandwich in general. Sorta bland for the price. They have no fountain drinks only sweet tea sooo that’s not the best choice for me personally. The menu was pretty simple. Not really anything different or special. And I’m assuming their coke cans are small and maybe about $1.50. Service was great, the employees were attentive. I’d come back to give it another shot, another menu item.
