The parking lot was dirty and disheveled. I went there on a Tuesday curious about their Taco Tuesday specials. Surprisingly, they offer none. What kind of Mexican restaurant offers no deals on Taco Tuesday? Never seen it before. So I ordered a taco plate. They gave me 2 tacos. Most places you get 3 tacos. Very stingy. The Spanish rice smelled off, a few hours away from spoiling. The beans didn’t have enough seasoning. The tortillas were falling apart. The asada and pastor meat was underseasoned. The radish was good. The escaviche was alright. Overall I didn’t enjoy this meal and I’d have to be desperate to come back here.

Nastiest food I’ve ever had. Amapola has a good reputation of food. I just happen to drive by and stop there. No wonder there was no one in the parking lot. The carne asada meat in the burrito was cold. The rice in our combo meals was hard and cold. Beans slightly warm. Chile relleno tasted like dirty mop water. Not to mention the beef flautas were disgusting. The freezer ones from the grocery store are better than this nasty stuff. I’m hoping the food doesn’t make us sick tonight. I absolutely DO NOT recommend this place. Staff was nice at the drive thru.

Change from a 3 to a 4 star! They actually packed it this time. I was starting to lose faith in this place even though it’s over priced 20$ just for this deluxe fries but they surely packed it this time. So now it’s a hit and miss with this place BUT! I’m actually pretty shocked they packed it this time with the battered fries! Thanks!

Had an al pastor taco and green chicken enchilada. Both tasted good.
Service was good and the dining area kept fairly clean.
Came in during the early evening so it wasn’t too crowded or rushed.

Let me begin with the disgusting carne asada burrito, it was ALL MEAT, no rice? Nothing but onion pieces that are the same size as quarters. It was cold and the meat was dry and tasted like it was microwave. Honestly never coming here again and i will recommend to anyone i know not to either. Its one thing that the food is terrible but when you have a 4 eyed cashier giving you attitude as well. Ill gladly keep going to Taqueria EL tacocho.

Ooo my gosh, the tacos are amazing! Juicy, flavorful and satisfying to make me want to stop by again and again. A lot of places do choped tomato they had it as a slice it was totally different for me, but well worth the pay.

2nd visit: Salsa was horrible and smelled old, fish tacos tasted like the frozen breaded fish you buy at the store, birria tacos had no flavor. Only good thing was the cheese fries! Highly disappointed

Went there for some birria (drive thru). Got home and and found out they served me dog food. Gave it to the dogs, they too didn’t want it. You can literally smell the uncooked meat. Disappointed and disgusted.
