Driving to this place is very confusing if you aren’t a local comes up as Guadalajara tacos which I’m assuming is the previous name. The food was pretty good we had a steak burrito, a steak torta and 3 tacos steak, tripas & al pastor. The steak was well flavored and the portions were decent for the price. The tripas we’re good and the al pastor was decent too. The salsas could have been better and the service wasn’t the best. I would definitely try this place again but parking is limited so be aware.

I am trying every Mexican restaurant in Aurora. This place has a god vibe. Serve alchohal. Had michelada Modelo and 2 cabezas tacos. They don’t have habenero relish or sauce, which I like with my cabezas. Delicious warm salsa and Chips given complementary. The entire email was brought at once the chips and salsa are pretty good and the cabezas tacos and michelada are delicious. This is a hidden gem hole in the wall place. Have delicious homemade coconut desserts and reasonably priced for everything

Food was great, it was so good I forgot to take a picture. The tacos were good, small but worth it. Tortas are good and I had the tampiqueña. The steak was tender and tasted great. The service was excellent, attentive staff. Parking could be a bit better. Besides that I don’t have anything bad to say. Clean place, a lot of carry out. Wheelchair accessible. Big manu on wall if needed. Though I thought $14 for a torta was a bit too much.

I met up with my hubby for lunch here. The service was great and so fast. The torta, steak burrito and chips and salsa were all amazing. A week or 2 later we ordered carry out from here and it was ready so fast and was just as good as the first time we ate from them! They also have a lot of seating so we definitely want to come back with our friends and get some margaritas! 10/10 would recommend

Los Cuates (formerly Chololua’s Kitchen) has a classic, no-frills setup that works for a casual meal out. Inside, there’s one long table that’s perfect for a bigger group, one round table that fits about six, a handful of smaller four-seaters, and around six booths that also seat four each.

The place definitely has a worn-in feel. The bathroom could use some attention, and a few of the booth seats are ripped—just small things that could use a refresh. That said, the atmosphere feels like your typical middle-class Mexican restaurant: homey, casual, and relaxed.

They start you off with chips and salsa, and they actually use some nice, dense wheat tortillas that feel a bit more authentic than your usual fare. It’s a nice touch.

We ordered a sope, a couple of tostadas, and some steak tacos. Presentation across the board was solid, and more importantly, everything tasted great. The flavors were on point, and you can tell it’s good traditional Mexican food—especially when you see local Mexican families dining here too.

Service was friendly and attentive, and there was Mexican music playing in the background that added to the vibe.

Overall, it’s a solid spot with tasty food and welcoming people. If they put a little effort into maintaining the space—especially the bathrooms and seating—it would really elevate the whole experience. Still, it’s worth a visit for the food and the warm service.

One of my favorite places to eat Mexican in Aurora area! Their restaurant is clean, and they have fast, friendly staff! Our food always comes hot and fresh! We love the steak tacos and burritos! Also the hot beef soup!!! I feel great on their food, and I know it’s because it’s fresh and healthy and homemade.
My husband and I order take out from here often! We don’t wait super long – we go, and order and are usually leaving in 10-15 minutes or less. Their coconut treats at the counter are so good! Also their rice drink and the red tea! I forget the names of both Highly recommend this restaurant! They have booths and tables .

Delicious! This is the one friends!

I have past this restaurant a million times and I’m kicking myself for not walking in sooner. Delicious!

Atmosphere clean and simple, no blaring Norteño music.

Service was excellent, the servers always passed by to ask if all was well and if we needed anything.

The food is crazy good.

We had tacos, tacos quesa birria, chilaquiles with steak and horchata.

My kids never drink horchata because it’s either too sweet or too much cinnamon. This was a wonderful horchata experience. It was refreshing, more on the vanilla side like melted Mr.Softee.

Salsa is important to us. The kinds of chilis used and if they offer grilled fresh jalapeños.

Everything was spot on, the green salsa was fresh and mild that kids could eat it.
The red salsa served with chips was mild for the kids to enjoy but also for us adults to also enjoy.

The red salsa was off the hook, it was hot, spicy, clean, they burnt the chilis and allowed that smokiness to really sink in. It was wonderful.

Cost is also reasonable, tacos here are $2.90, tacos quesa birria are 4.50. The full plate of chilaquiles, steak, rice and beans was 14.50.

A full arachera, rice, beans, salad, and an enchilada is 21.50.

They are competing against 100’s of other restaurants and have managed to keep costs reasonable unlike some restaurants on Lake Street and Downtown Aurora who don’t show you prices or change prices whenever they feel like it.

I highly recommend Los Cuates, it’s worth the trek out to Aurora. I’m already planning to make a quick mid week stop here because I’m thinking of the tacos lol. Loved it!

Went for dinner with some friends and I ordered birria tacos. What I got was definitely not that, just looked like chicken that had been boiled for broth, with bits of bone still mixed in. Very dry and completely tasteless. The plain rice had more flavor.

At least the horchata was good
