From when I entered- till I left, everything was great. The service was quick and satisfying.The ambiance was perfect and comforting. The food was so delicious, not to mention presented very nicely. The prices were great with many special options. The place smelled nice and clean with a touch of good food.Bathrooms were also clean. The location has lots of street parking. So if I’m back in town; I’ll definitely be stopping by for that delicious BBQ Chicken… Not to mention the delicious cakes…

The food was great. Portion sizes were very large. I order takeout from her relatively often. However, when seated in the restaurant it takes a while for your food to come out. I’d definitely suggest ordering takeout like 40 min before you’re ready to eat.

AMAZING! The portion sizes were great, the food is delicious, affordable with an overall friendly atmosphere. I was served by the owner herself and even though she was extremely busy; she had a smile on her face the whole time! This place is a must when your in the downtown area.

The steak salad was too small for the price the texture was too tough and the salad had one spinach leaf. Poorly put together. They have changed, the quality used to be better. Maybe today was a bad day. I’ll consider giving them another chance

I would have given 5 stars but the beef short ribs I ordered were too tough for my liking. This was my 1st time eating here. I ordered the $23 beef ribs, rice & blk beans. I didn’t like having all that rice & little bit of beans either. I will return & try something different. Food was flavorful. The yg lady that took our order that day was very friendly. My daughter bought two orders of pork ribs with rice and beans. Food was cooked perfectly.( Tender and moist) however someone did not notice the amount of Salt they used on the ribs. Please taste your food before serving. Too Salty.

Came in for breakfast ordered a Taylor ham, egg, & cheese & sweet croissant with ham & Swiss it was absolutely delicious. You can tell they used good quality products in their food. Excellent service very kind & hardworking

First off I been wanting to eat from here in sooo long! Me and my co worker finally order from here today! The lady who answered the phone sound confused with my order so I just got the same thing my co worker got which was grill chicken and garlic shrimp she told me the combo was 14 dollars only for them to get there and it was $44 the food was horrible the presentation of the food was horrible! The chicken was not cooked all the way and when I called back and complained someone gave me attitude! Like how can you do that when we just spent our money got the wrong stuff and the food wasn’t cooked all the way! We work at a bank and usually get catered food but we wanted to try something new! And I won’t spend my money here again! The chicken breast was not chicken breast

The food was delicious. I love bbq food. My first time in this restaurant. Loved the conversation with the owner. The place was very clean. Definitely going to try to Uber Eat to get my good bbq food as most of the restaurants are all located downtown Newark and I live on the South Side. Unfortunately I forgot to take a foto. I’ll own it to you all. The price was reasonable as we took the tray with salad on the side. This fed 2 and we got to take some home. Yes win win place. Try it out.

It’s ok. Ordered a full rack of ribs. Got almost half small end pieces and chopped rib tips. Flavor was good. Sides good too. One bad thing is that they close at 8 while all the other bbq places close later.
