The food, the service, the chef, the sommelier, and the atmosphere were all top tier. The waitstaff doesn’t just make sure their assigned tables are okay, they check on you whether they are your waiter or not. The head chef is extremely talented and has a great sense of humor and personality. My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed our table right near the chef’s area.
I ordered the scallop & lobster trio with caviar, which I highly suggest if you want to go all out! My mom had the salmon with crispy skin, better than Hell’s Kitchen (sorry Gordon… I love you!)
To sum things up: I have very high standards, and I felt like a VIP on my birthday. The table setup, the attention from all the staff, everything was exceptional. You know a restaurant is legit when they have an actual baker in the kitchen who focuses on nothing but desserts! My three-tier carrot cake with homemade cream cheese icing was the most decadent dessert I’ve ever tasted.
The Ambiance! The cocktails! The Food! And the Service!! Everything was fantastic from Appetizers to the Valet service. We were lucky enough to be seated at the chef’s table where we were treated to some special little noches from the chefs.
Special thanks to the crew at Zoe’s for helping us complete our Alphabet Dates!
As a note, I did not rate this a high value score since this is upscale fine dining and not a “value” dinner spot. It is worth every penny though! So treat yourself when you can.
since they wouldn’t allow Open Table reservation for 1, I called the restaurant. I asked if they’d accommodate a table for 1 as I didn’t feel like eating at the bar. The hostess checked and said that they would and took my reservation. I arrived on time and when I gave my name, the hostess immediately smiled and said “one table for Ms Mary-Ann”. Mr. Tall and handsome led me to a table that was in the open facing the kitchen. Without a word he asked if I’d rather sit at a corner table away from the main dining traffic. I really appreciated the subtle suggestion probably empathetically seeing my unsaid wish for privacy.
It took some time for my server Sonya to come but she apologized as she was engaged at wine table service.
Food:
I ordered the charred octopus appetizer and the Sea scallops entree. It came with a choice of risotto or forbidden rice. Sonya recommended the latter. While waiting, they served amuse bouche of whipped salmon and something wonderful.
Charred octopus was absolutely phenomenal. I may now like Zoe’s better than Luce Secondo or Ilo Bistro… top 3! Everything accompanying the octopus cooked tender was intentional: greens, light baked potato cubes, micro greens…
Sea scallops that came with curry broth and forbidden rice was delicious! Scallops cooked to perfection, lean in for a waft of the dish and it’s heaven.
I decided to get dessert since a great restaurant typically has great desserts! I ordered the OMG carrot cake (their signature dessert am told) and an affogato which is served with their restaurant made vanilla ice cream.
Definitely worth the dress up with my kitty heel Louboutin tonight to break out of my PJ’s tonight!
While we genuinely appreciated the friendly service, we happened to be seated near the chef’s area and overheard a comment, “What? It’s not dry, it’s cheese.” That was a little uncomfortable to hear, as it’s usually better for staff to keep feedback about the food more discreet. I chose not to say anything at the moment to avoid any awkwardness. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with attentive service, and we believe there’s always room for growth in ensuring consistent food quality and professionalism, which could make the dining experience even better.
My fiancé took me there simply because I wanted to go, no special occasion and the experience exceeded every expectation. From the moment we sat down, the service was phenomenal. Our server, Regina, was attentive, knowledgeable, and always nearby when we had questions or needed anything. She truly made sure our evening was perfect and even passed along my compliments to the chef after I told her the ribeye was the best I’ve had in the 757.
The food was outstanding across the board. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and absolutely unforgettable. The lobster pops were fantastic, and the charcuterie board was a highlight. Shannon took the time to walk us through every meat and cheese on the board, along with the honey, mustards, and dates. She even shared the history behind many of the selections, most of which were locally sourced, which made the experience feel even more special.
The level of service from the entire team really stood out. Jessica, the manager, checked on us multiple times and patiently answered all the questions my fiancé had. Shawn also stopped by frequently to times and patiently answered all the questions my fiancé had. Shawn also stopped by frequently to keep our water glasses filled, we never once had an empty glass.
Between the exceptional food and the incredible service, Zoe’s truly delivers a top-tier dining experience. Having been to most of the steakhouses in the 757, I can confidently say this one stands above the rest. In fact, the service and overall quality reminded me a lot of RARE Steakhouse at the Wynn in Everett, MA.
If you’re looking for one of the best steakhouse experiences in the area, Zoe’s VB should absolutely be on your list.
