We booked out bread+bar for our welcome dinner the night before our wedding, and it was a perfect evening! Matt helped us to build a menu that worked for everyone in our party, including some severe allergies. The entire staff went above and beyond for us in so many ways. We had stationed apps, a sit-down family style meal, and post-dinner drinks and snacks. Needless to say, we were extremely well-fed! Months later, we still hear compliments about how good the food and drinks were, for good reason. Don’t skip the French onion purses or the cake!

This place was a great find! We really enjoyed everything on the Sinatra menu! Their version of the classic manhattan was great, the cioppino was rich and flavorful, there was even Sinatra playing in the background. We finished with the date cake which was so rich, tender, and fluffy with the perfect amount of sweetness.

My husband and I went to Bread+Bar a couple days ago to celebrate my birthday. The employees were all so kind and our waitress Ivy was wonderful. We haven’t been there in a very long time because of minimal vegetarian options, and went back because the menu was updated to include more vegetarian food.

Bread+Bar restaurant needs to be the top restaurant in Southwest Michigan (I only say Southwest Michigan because I haven’t experienced all of Michigan restaurants). Located in Benton Harbor, Michigan, this rustic, magnificent restaurant is a place to dress causal or classy and eat some high-end delicious food. It’s my favorite all time so far!
The food is second to none. You experience great taste with your eyes before taking a bite. The presentation and intention of these dishes are phenomenal. I also enjoyed the seasoning of the food. There is no need for salt and pepper as I noticed there wasn’t any on the table. From start to finish, every meal was exciting to eat, and did not disappoint.
The service is impressive. We were blessed to be served by Ivy. She helped us through the menu, kept our water glasses full, served with a great smile, and gave an honest opinion on meals. Everyone else served well, too!

What a nice casual dining experience with great food. Love the small menu with unique flavor profiles executed very well.
The broth in the French Onion and the Chicken dish were excellent on a chilly night with nice flavors.
Only two options for dessert by the time we ordered due to some selling out, but that happens and not holding anything against them for that.
Highly recommend this restaurant if in the area.

Bread+Bar offers a comfortable atmosphere with an open-kitchen concept and wonderful food served by a great kitchen/staff.
Everything I’ve tried on their menu has great flavor and presentation. I have found myself mixing and matching flavors from their sharables and their entrées. It’s just a very well thought through menu.
The Cacio e Pepe is wonderful, but it is a canvas for other items such as Nana’s Meatballs or the Thai Mussels. The Shishito Peppers also pair well with any protein.
This restraunt has quickly become a go-to spot while I am in the Benton Harbor area.

I can’t say enough good things about this place!!! The food is made with love, from scratch and properly! The owners and staff are so lovely. It feels more like eating at a friend’s house than a restaurant. I look forward to each date night and especially the theme nights!!! Just love love love this place!
