Walked in last minute while they were closing, and they sat us down and fed us. The best brisket tacos, and double bacon cheeseburger I ever had with the most amazing Fries. Great personalities work here as well.

Stopped by this restaurant while making a drive around the entire lake and happened to meet the owner while I was there. It was refreshing to see someone that has lived in SC like myself and for the food to be reminiscent of what I am used to was mind blowing. This restaurant deserves far more attention and a bigger building. Only complaint I would have is that the menu could use some expanding but otherwise this establishment is perfect.

We are staying at the Hyatt and our golden retriever is with us. They recommended we try Austin’s. Just a short walk across the street. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. Our dog Augie gives his high recommendation as they gave him a special treat.

We had a wonderful lunch!! The service was on point, kind, and we felt cared for. The tallow fried chicken was delish!!! So thankful we stumbled upon this little gem in Tahoe! Thank you Brett Marie and Cole!

It was nice meeting you today, Cole and team! The food was amazing and my entire family enjoyed their lunch today. Congrats on the ownership and wish you the best of luck! If you guys were in the Bay, there would be a line out the door.

Austin’s in Incline Village feels like it was built by someone who’s done their time in the trenches—burnt arms, bad knees, and a Rolodex of every curse word known to man. Someone who actually understands the difference between “service” and “hospitality,” and gives a damn about both. From the second you walk in, you know—this isn’t another soulless, laminated-menu tourist trap. Inside, outside, bar stool or table—they’ve got you dialed in.
I kicked things off with a Bloody Mary—already a sensible choice when you’re breathing the same alpine air as Lake Tahoe—but then they dropped the hammer: chicken-fried bacon. Let me say that again, slowly, like it’s the winning lottery numbers: chicken. fried. bacon. I didn’t know this was a thing. Now I do, and frankly, I’m angry no one told me sooner. Sure, my life expectancy might’ve taken a hit, but my happiness index skyrocketed. It was so good I doubled down immediately. Then, drunk on bad decisions and sodium, I ordered fries fried in the same mysterious, golden batter. Whatever alchemy they’re using back there, they could sell the rights to McDonald’s and retire somewhere with palm trees and no extradition treaties.
The food was killer, but the two Bulgarian guys running the floor are what sealed it. No scripted pleasantries, no “how are we doing tonight, folks?”—just that rare, unteachable kind of service where you feel like you’ve been welcomed into someone’s home, not dropped into another Yelp review.
Geographically, it’s dangerously close to the lake—an easy stumble from the dock if you’ve had enough drinks and poor judgment. Austin’s doesn’t just feed you; it kidnaps you in the nicest possible way. It holds you there, makes you forget your phone, and reminds you that the best meals aren’t about showmanship—they’re about being in the hands of people who actually give a damn.

We had a wonderful experience – lunch and dinner – at Austin’s Restaurant. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, and the service was genuinely friendly and attentive.
Two standout dishes (among others) absolutely deserve special mention. The Cornbread Flapjacks with Honey Butter were outstanding – perfectly fluffy with a subtle sweetness, and the honey butter took them to another level. Truly comforting and memorable.
Equally impressive was the Wild Mushroom & Bone Marrow Grit Cake with Fromage Blanc. Rich, savory, and beautifully balanced, it felt both indulgent and thoughtfully crafted. A unique dish that showcases the kitchen’s creativity and skill.
Overall, Austin’s, a Michelin-worthy restaurant, delivers exceptional food with warmth and care. It’s the kind of place you look forward to returning to – and we certainly will.

It was my first time visiting this establishment, and I am from out of town. The first thing that caught my attention was the lovely outdoor seating area and the beautiful view it offered. The food was absolutely delicious, and I did not have a single complaint. They even provided us with some complimentary bread and butter as appetizers, which was a nice touch. I highly recommend trying the meatloaf. The service was adequate, although not exceptional. The only issue we encountered was that the beverage portions were quite small for the cups of water, and we had to request several refills throughout the meal. Despite this minor inconvenience, I would definitely return to try another meal and would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area.

I went to Austin’s yesterday with a group of 5 friends and expected the basic bar and grill menu and quality. When I saw it is transitioning to Paxton’s and looked at the menu, the dishes were elevated and interesting. We ordered the Cornbread flapjacks (OMG … divine and decadent), Country Fried Steak (succulent gravy, generous portion and delicious), rainbow trout (gorgeously presented, fresh and flavorful) and the brisket grilled cheese (incredible mix of flavors we were fighting over the last bite). We got an incredible array of sides from fries (addictive and perfectly crispy), grilled vegetables (very flavorful mix of broccolini, asparagus, squash and mushroom), chili (really special flavor and great toppings provided) and slaw (significant portion of delicious vinegar rather than mayo based slaw with a great crunch and heat). The drinks were great, the service was excellent and we couldn’t stop talking about how much we loved the experience. Highly recommend …. And so convenient if you’re staying at the Hyatt!!

We got there on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn’t busy. They have a limited parking in front of the restaurant on the street. There’s an indoor and outdoor seating area. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Salad and it was really good and generous portion. My husband got the Ahi Tuna sandwich, the fries were really good too! Our waiter was very friendly. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely be back when we’re in the area again.
