We had the deluxe sushi and futomaki and inari sushi. Futomaki is the traditional Japanese style sushi with cucumber, egg, and seaweed that remind me a lot like the sushi I had in Japan, very authentic. Inari is fresh and rice is cooked well that is very refreshing. Deluxe sushi comes with variety of fish and we love the yellowtail, tuna, and salmon while all of them are fresh and delicious. The most important thing the price is very reasonable and might be even cheaper than many fast food combo meal. If you are around the area and craving for authentic Japanese sushi, this is the Must Go place.
P.S. The owner is big baseball fan so it has tons of baseball bobblehead for you to tour around when waiting.

Went to check out this strip mall, and stumbled upon this unassuming sushi spot that has been open for more than 30 years. This is more for carry out, the inside is small, but the decor is amazing (if you love the dodgers, baseball, and bobble heads). The owner is very friendly. Dominations are affordable and delicious! Check it out.

While traveling through Torrance, I happened to notice this restaurant and decided to stop by. The owners — a lovely couple — greeted me with such warmth and kindness. The prices were unbelievably reasonable, so out of curiosity I ordered the smallest combo.
When I got back to my hotel and took the first bite, I was genuinely amazed. I couldn’t believe sushi of this quality could come at such a price! The couple mentioned they’ve been running the restaurant at the same spot for over 30 years, and I could truly taste that 30 years of experience in every piece.
I honestly regretted not ordering a larger combo, and if I ever visit this city again, I’ll definitely be back to try the biggest one on the menu.

Truly incredible sushi for an unbelievably cheap price. We will definitely be returning. The owners just celebrated the 30th anniversary of their restaurant! Congratulations on such a wonderful accomplishment and here’s to many more!!

Sushi Yoshi is totally under rated, and this is one of the OG sushi spots been in the area for more than 15+ years as Nov 2022! They are one of the best sushi places in the area with very reasonable price for the quality and hidden gem in Torrance. They are very simple and done everything right. Sushi there are very fresh and delicious and always hit the spot.

Quick tips: This place is mostly takeout, and you should phone in to place your order. They always make their sushi fresh, and it will take some time during peak lunch/dinner hours. They are in the same plaza as Starbucks and next to another OG Japanese Teri’s Place.

Been craving for authentic Japanese nigiri sushi so I decided to try few different places for takeout. Today’s lunch visit is a mom-pop store hidden in an old plaza off Torrance area. I have been here years ago and recall the owners passion for singing karaoke and baseball. While decoration is no-frill but the sushi was very solid and price is affordable.

I ordered the nigiri sushi combo #1 Togo. Good quality of seafood (better than supermarket takeout for sure). Their tuna and white fish (halibut) as well as house marinated Saba were better than some dine in restaurants quality. The rolls were tasty too.

One thing that stood them up than most is the rice. This places sushi rice does taste authentic Japanese sushi rice with the right balance of vinegar in it while many fast food chain or non-Japanese chains failed to understand the importance of rice.

Overall, a very solid sushi takeout place with affordable pricing. Recommended.

It’s a sushi takeaway restaurant run by an older gentleman who’s been doing this for years. He’s great at his craft, food is excellent and priced very reasonably. Lots of Dodgers memorabilia, restaurant feels very homely.

I finally made it down here today for the first time. This location is so inconspicuous but I read a great review and wanted to check it out. It was $23 for these two items. I think portion sizes, fish quality, and service was great. I opted for takeout but there is definitely room to seat a handful of people.

I’m astonished by the high quality fish of this place. The number 1 and 8 special combination are really delicious and run by wife and husband. Definitely a hidden gem. Thank me later.
