The pastries are incredible. I had a gingerbread croissant and I’ll probably come back for the candy cane cruffin.. I also had the toffee latte and it’s delicious.

I ordered an iced pumpkin spice latte with an extra shot and oat milk — the flavor was really good! Unfortunately, it took 30 minutes just to get my one coffee, even though there was only one person ahead of me. On top of that, about 80% of the cup was ice. I’d love to give this place another try when the wait time isn’t so long, because the drink itself was delicious.

Every visit feels welcoming, warm, and consistent. The drinks are always exceptional – the Toffee Crunch Latte is my personal favorite right now. Their food is just as good; the spinach feta breakfast wrap is so delicious. The café itself is clean, cozy, and beautifully designed, and the staff is always kind and attentive. I got the the strawberry puff pastry for my wife for valentines, that was amazing! Also the jalapeño pull apart, which was just as good in a different way. Sweet and savory! The cafe is always clean and pleasing to the eye. The service is great, can be a little slow if they are busy, but it’s worth the wait.

Really nice atmosphere, great coffee, and delicious food. I ordered my go to, vanilla latte, when I’m trying a new coffee shop. It was quality coffee and perfect flavor. I also ordered avocado toast which was so good! Before I left, I did grab a strawberry matcha since it just looked beautiful and seemed to be what a lot of others were ordering. I’m not a matcha person and honestly, I’ll be back for the matcha! Im excited to go to some of their events, like Saturday morning Yoga!

Best coffee I ever had! So good that I went back there the very next day in order the coffee and then purchased a yellow bag and a holiday blend bag and had them grind it for me to have it at home. My husband loves a gingerbread croissant pastry. They have there amazing but when I went back the next day, they were out of stock so I tried one of their cinnamon rolls and again he thought it was amazing. I love that this place is close to my house. beautifully decorated in a very nice atmosphere and very nice employees

I had such a wonderful experience at this café! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for both catching up with friends or spending some quiet time with a book. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive, which made me feel welcome right away.

Unfortunately, the customer service significantly detracted from the experience. Service was mixed at best. One staff member was polite and helpful, but another appeared disengaged, unwelcoming, rude, and inattentive. The interaction felt rushed and impersonal, and there was little sense of warmth or hospitality. Given the inviting setting of the café, the lack of attentiveness and especially the approachability was noticeable and disappointing.
Drink execution also lacked consistency. A cortado was ordered but served in an incorrect cup size and prepared more like a macchiato, suggesting some confusion around standard espresso drinks. There was also a mismatch between the roast described and what appeared to be served, which further affected confidence in the offering.
The espresso leaned overly dark and bitter, lacking balance. Perhaps the proper ratios and grind was not correct. The matcha was acceptable, though it tasted slightly diluted and could benefit from a more concentrated preparation with matcha to water ratio.
While Matriarch offers an attractive space, the combination of inconsistent drink preparation and very subpar customer service made the visit underwhelming.
Recommend a stronger focus on hospitality and staff training would go a long way toward improving the overall experience and better aligning the café with its otherwise appealing environment.

The café and its workers were amazing—friendly and helpful staff. The matcha and coffee were excellent. We got a matcha, bagel, cinnamon roll, and an Americano. It’s hard to get an Americano right at times, but theirs was dialed in smooth and not bitter. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience. I would definitely come back again!
