I appreciate the attentiveness and service. This review is only for the entree I ordered: calamares rellenos out of curiosity. The presentation looked good however, portion was quite small for the price. The flavor was good, the squid was stuffed with rice and sun dried tomatoes. I did not see or taste any ham nor octopus inside as described on menu.

This new little place is nestled in the heart of La Mesa, and offers a delicious selection of food, wine and beer. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was nice and comfortable. It’s a small restaurant that is perfect for date night or to enjoy with friends (like we did). We ordered the calamari, patatas bravas, pulpo con chistorra, and I would order all 3 again. The spicy potatoes were especially delicious. We also ordered the ribeye special and the wine sauce was to die for. The desserts I was told were delicious. I’m not a citrus dessert lover, but I was told the crema catalana was very good, kind of like a citrusy zesty creme brûlée, and the crepes Suzette were also very citrusy (orange) but paired well with the vanilla ice cream. I would highly recommend this place, and am definitely coming back to explore more items on the menu.

Very cute cozy spot with delightful small bites. We enjoyed the red sangria, a cheese board, shrimp, calamari, and the lamb. For dessert, we had the mouse and the creme brulee. Definitely will return and especially a good spot for someone who enjoys a glass of wine and grazing on food while enjoying good conversation.

Wow wow wow. Best food I’ve had in La Mesa to date. The filet mignon was extremely tender and the potatoes were to die for. They have a great wine selection as well. The ambiance is a major plus – perfect date spot. I’ll be returning on Valentine’s Day with the LOML!! Keep the gooood food coming Tour De Tapas. Grateful you’re here!

Lovely 24th anniversary dinner. Tapas are so fun. With Randy’s expertise we wandered our way through the menu. Also enjoyed a delicious rose wine. Dry, crisp and fresh! Not your mom’s rose!! The food is excellent as is the ambience.

I enjoyed my company with an international Spanish flare. I found it funny and honorable my famous Bruschetta a Pomidoro was on their menu. I had to point that out to our server. Yes, the San Diego Reader made it famous when I had my restaurant in La Mesa. My creation is famous. Not me! I loved the Tapas of Calamari,Octopus Shrimp and bread service. It was a busy after happy hour crowd so we had to keep flagging for more vino!! Only beer and wine in their humble bar. Fancy but casual too.

First off, the service is incredibly slooow. To get water or for them to clear your table you basically need to light yourself on fire to catch their attention. Secondly, even for tapas, the dishes were tiny — incredibly small. Third, I don’t love salty foods but there’s a difference between like salt and no seasoning whatsoever. This restaurant for me fell into the latter category. And lastly, the paella was meh. No crispy bottom. It was just rice with like one piece of chicken and some seafood. Really disappointing. Would not recommend. It was fun when the general manager asked me multiple times if I had a reservation and I felt like I was in Groundhog’s Day answering the same question over and over.

Such a great spot whether it’s for a family dinner, catching up with friends, or on a romantic date. The decor is adorable and gives it such a cozy feel. The prices are very reasonable. We tried many items from the menu. They were all delicious and the wine was also fantastic. Our favorite dishes were the bruschetta and mussels. The crepes Suzette and chocolate mousse were also delicious. The service was outstanding. We will definitely be going back!

it’s such a beautiful restaurant and the server was so nice, the food is incredibly delicious and came in really quickly, they were very nice and treated us very kindly.
‼️ they make you roll a dice at the end of your meal and if you land on 1 the meal is free (16.6 % chance), our dice landed on 1 and we got a free meal (it was $85 total).
overall super nice and delicious 10/10 would come again and recommend 🙂

Such a fantastic, newer spot in La Mesa! Great outdoor seating option, watch all the farmer’s market action go by, while enjoying Spanish tapas and vino! Delicious! The team was incredible too!
